The Windows OS Thread - Formerly THE OS for gamers and normies, now sadly ruined by Pajeets

Is windows 11 ltsc iot good to use now? Compared to 10 ltsc iot.
IMO it's fine, the thing people complain about the most are the UI changes. Otherwise it's not that much different. Maybe people have other issues due to incompatible/failing hardware or I had a good run on not encountering odd issues so to me the UI is the biggest fundamental issue 11 has compared to 10.

You know why I despise Linux and Linux users so much? They're all lying two-faced assholes. All of them. Louis Rossmann had a point with the whole "don't accept the premise of assholes" thing. Linux users are those assholes. They expect you to know every little technical detail about Linux and always be as truthful and thorough when talking about it, where they'll jump in and correct you on even the slightest mistake. They'll go on a tirade if you say that "you have to do everything in a command line on Linux".

But when it comes to Windows? Oh that's Microslop so like, we can blatantly lie about it and if anyone tries to correct us we'll just insult them and say they're corpo shills, suck Bill Gates' cock or are pajeets. They love to poster that they're pragmatists, yet every time I had the displeasure of interacting with one, I met an emotional lunatic instead that refuses to apply pragmatism to software they personally dislike. Of course, they'll act like it's only a "loud minority", except that I'm yet to encounter someone of that silent majority that doesn't have all the same traits that make me despise the Linux world so much.

I hate nothing more than people who actively lie to my face and try to gaslight me into believing I'm wrong. All of my interactions with Linux users online were nothing but that. So I'm glad that Linux is gaining more market share from gamers, I hope that the entire Linux desktop ecosystem gets thoroughly enshittified by Linux users finally getting their wish and having any sort of relevance. I hope they'll seethe about the "normification" of FOSS because they deserve every single fucking bit of it for doing nothing but lying and gaslighting everyone for over three decades.
Reject Linuxfaggery, embrace FreeBSD. It actually gets meaningful development because its devs DON'T spend 95% of their waking hours on troonery and shitlib political infighting.

I have jokingly said that FreeBSD doesn't cause Terminal Gender Disease like troonix does and is safer to use as an alternative operating system

It might just be true

It always surprises me just how completely asinine later versions of Windows are to get up and going.

With Windows 7 and earlier, it just asked you a few basic but completely reasonable questions like what timezone to use, what your local username and passwords should be, and how you want updates to go, and then it'd send you to the desktop to get everything else done. It was a productive experience that never felt invasive and didn't take long at all to get through.

Nowadays, it feels like you're in NYC where you got a bunch of random guys trying to sell you shit to make a quick buck and the out of box experience is now akin to clicking "decline" on every sketchy advertisement like a mobile game. No, I don't want to subscribe to Microsoft AssFuck 365. Fuck off, no, I don't want your Game Ass. Just let me get to my desktop already. Why do you need to know where I live? Just let me reach my desktop, you cocksucker. Why can't I use a local account anymore? You get the idea. My favorite part is when you restart your system, whether it be for an update or because you are trying to fix an issue caused by an unfixed bug introduced god knows how long ago and once you reach your desktop, it throws up a FULL SCREEN ADVERTISEMENT for OneDrive disguised as a "backup feature" or even the classic "finish setting up your system".

What a piece of shit. Every time I install older versions of Windows it's like a breath of fresh air. We need another consumer version of Windows that is as no-frills as Windows XP or even Windows 2000 but looks as good as Windows 7, but I know that'll never happen because Microsoft is so hellbent on trying to do everything at once and failing miserably.

We will all be running vibe-coded ReactOS forks in the future.

Relatively minor grip, but I detest how everytime I open Edge, I have to close to the 2 tabs it automatically opens just to get to the stuff I need. This. Is. A. Work. Computer. No I don't want to add my google data. No I dont want to sync accounts. I. Want. To. Get. My. Maintenance. Manuals. A massive breaking news shelf, while only superfluos I'll admit, is still annoying given its total irrelevancy to the thing I'm actually trying to do.

Linux users are moralfags who think just because they don't have to pay for shit, makes them holier. They're internally seething within themselves because of how often they have to spend every day using their OS, not only using programs that can just run okay on it but to tinker with every little thing wrong.

And they're pretentious snobs about it too, like I remember there being a time that Ubuntu advertised itself as "Linux for humans". If that isn't some inhaling farts from some obese 350-lbs Linux user after wolfing down five quarterpounders, a whopper and two colas level of pretentiousness, then I don't know what is.

Did you hear about the GNU/Linux user that had consensual sex with a woman under 300 pounds?

If you have a half decent CPU for compiling, you can use Tiny11Builder and make a version of Windows without that entirely

I did it with 10 and 11 LTSC, it takes a while to compile the new ISO but its worth it

Yeah it's not going to go anywhere. Windows is an incredibly complex beast and it's like Mr. Burns' organism, the bugs and code debt is so vast and deep that it equalizes, resulting in it being a solid OS overall. It's one thing they're trying to enhance ReactOS that only recently started reaching Vista levels of compatibility, it's another it's all vibe coded. During the time where vibe coded reverse engineering in the new thing™ in the news cycle.

This project will die, it exists solely for social media clout. Random YouTubers are gonna make videos like these for a week, everyone will proclaim the end of Microslop, then the next thing comes into the news cycle and it's forgotten. If you can't see that you're fucking retard.
