They're also pissed about that great anti-trigger warning article the Atlantic did.

How dare people want good works with representation!Stop Saying You Only Care About Quality Over Diversity: There are some good points, but these days diversity to people like this is more about throwing fits when people don't change the race, gender or sexuality of an established character to what they want; get angry when a white person is writing a POC or something that is out of their "genre" like rap, think that POC can't enjoy characters that don't look like them and are so fragile that everything offends them, or focus on gender and skin color over talent. Then scream racism when they don't their way.
I don't mind legacy characters like Ms Marvel and Mr. Terrific who are continuing a tradition when the original retires or dies. I'm sure that there are POC and women who are denied because of that. But, people like this are ruining the concept of diversity and turning it into something that is eye-rolling.

Apparently, the trio from Final Fantasy X-2 and their impractical, ugly skimpy outfits are perfectly ok. The sexiness/skimpiness is not male gazey, but is fun and silly. (The berserker class is not problematic.) Yuna's default outfit which has cleavage and hoochie-cutter shorts is an expression of her character development. These are the people that will bitch about Vampirella and Powergirl, Matt Taylor's shirt and Frank Cho's Spider-Gwen cover.
Are those characters sacred cows for SJWs in general, like magical girls and Squirrel Girl? Or is it just the members of this website that like the characters enough to give them a pass?
One of those characters is underage too iirc.Apparently, the trio from Final Fantasy X-2 and their impractical, ugly skimpy outfits are perfectly ok. Yep, Rikku is 17 in the sequel. For fun, I ran her thief outfit through the bingo card and it nearly got a bingo, but 8 slots (I wasn't sure if she went into a cold climate so I didn't check that one) got checked. One of those characters is underage too iirc.
One of the earliest missions in X-2 has the group on a snow-capped mountain, if I remember right.Yep, Rikku is 17 in the sequel. So the game that appeals to every 12 year old boy's masturbation fantasies is definitely not sexist, but I'm going to continue to bitch and moan about Catwoman's outfit anyway.
I think I just felt my IQ drop and this is coming from someone who liked Lollipop Chainsaw.I think it's because that game is filled with eye rolling amounts of lesbian subtext. Half the game is filled with Rikku/Yuna flirting (they're cousins by the way) and there's a minigame where Yuna massages one of the female villains to orgasm.

And then there's this shit where they all play boob grab in a hot spring. Skip to 1.45 for awkwardness that makes Titus's laugh seem tame.

Squirrel Girl (the Erica version) is ugly which makes her unappealing to CIS het males. So that could be it.That would also probably explain their fixation on magical girls, but I don't understand the appeal for Squirrel Girl.
I don't get why magical girls, especially Madoka are seen as sacred cows. Are those characters sacred cows for SJWs in general, like magical girls and Squirrel Girl? Or is it just the members of this website that like the characters enough to give them a pass?
Female empowerment, mostly.I don't get why magical girls, especially Madoka are seen as sacred cows.
I think Sailor Moon was a lot of these women's gateway anime so they'd have some nostalgic feelings for it.I don't get why magical girls, especially Madoka are seen as sacred cows.
I get the new Squirrel Girl because she's not attractive or threatening to most of them.
Sailor Moon also has the LGBT representation (I think just LB though)I think Sailor Moon was a lot of these women's gateway anime so they'd have some nostalgic feelings for it.
