Direct Hit is a silly weapon, but nuking people who are midair feels really good.
The learning curve on the Direct Hit is kinda weird: the curve is steep when you're first using it, then it levels out once you start getting kills with it, but then it gets steep again when you want to be professional with it.

Direct hit crits at sentry nests? Perfection.

I'm sorry, what was that about TF2 being "based"?

Time to put this decrepit husk of a once-great game out of its misery.

TF2 is one of the only games nowadays with no "hate speech" police and you're here crying that it needs to be killed because there's few troons creating third party events for it. This isn't /pol/, go take your contrarian faggotry there or neck yourself.

Valve doesn't do official events anymore, they just feature whatever gets sent to them. Case in point, in the past couple of months we had...

This one was in benefit of an Alzheimer's charity.

So yeah. Want your own event featured? Set up a tournament and call up Valve. They'll hook you up if you're not a complete retard with your branding.

minor pl but I know someone with severe autism. Not kf kind but the actual medical kind who just plays TF over and over and over again. Its been a decade or more yet as far as I know he doesn't bother to explore any other game just TF all the way until he dies or is somehow prevented from playing it any longer I guess or it gets shut off. Kinda wondering what he'll do when it eventually does shut off.

as a small side-happening, a new hashtag has been made (#bringbackquickplay)

and a certain someone is seething about it already

Retard with a YouTube channel said:
Ask for the QoL features quickplay had to build upon casual (ad-hoc, scramble, etc.)
Without that "etc.", this is literally Quickplay but you can't open a list of active Valve servers to pick an initial one that you want to join. Ask for almost everything Quickplay was, but don't call that "bringing Quickplay back" or else the nu-tubers will seethe autistically.

The people defending Casual matchmaking are a prime example of how insanely retarded the TF2 community has become post-Jungle Inferno.

How the fuck is bringing back Quickplay something that not everyone who played during that era can get behind? Why the fuck are people advocating for pieces of Quickplay to be brought back instead of just the entire Quickplay system itself as it was? And why are these faggots such complacent defeatist retards? This shit is absolutely baffling to me and boils my blood.

Quickplay was in a perfectly fine state before it's demise was met at the neato hands of Jill and bringing back the Quickplay system is singlehandedly the best thing that can be done for TF2 and it's future. Meet Your Match was a mistake and the people who made and defend it should be lined up against the gates of Dustbowl and exploded with a thousand stickybombs.

bad time to be a blackpilled (and a bit retarded) nigga, as i have posted in the community thread, made a screencap about anons saying that the emporium is ripping itself apart, start whitepilling instead

Doubleposting, but Zesty Jesus confirmed much of this a day earlier in this stream at 2:11:06 (ending at 2:17:09), adding in a few additional details to the situation.
  • The accusation was that 4 years ago the accused workslopper was having lewd conversations with the accuser at the age of 19 when she was 16 years old.
  • Emporium members twisted this into a rumor that the workslopper was "catfished by a 7 year old." :story:
  • Said workslopper attempted to commit sudoku at some point after this debacle.

TED (Total Emporium Death).

I had the Orange Box back in the day but I ignored TF2 because the art looked lame to me. Finally tried it a year or two ago, and I've slowly kept coming back. The skill improvement aspect of the game is fascinating, comparable only to something like Melee or maybe Starcraft in my experience. I've been at the top of diamond in LoL and pretty highly ranked in other somewhat skill-based games but the satisfaction from those is so much less than being more consistent at hitting airshots or doing sick rocket jumps.

Rocket jumping is the best thing for me. Most fun and skill-intensive movement mechanic I've ever experienced in a video game. I beat a t5 jump map recently which is considered pretty decent but the better I get the worse I realize I am. I am actually offended that we don't have movement options like this in every game ever. The engine bullshit which powers such schmovement is wondrous. I had spent a few hundred hours in jump maps before I even had 100 on my most played character in pubs which is obviously Soldier. The other classes are cool too aside from Sniper.

I wasn't around for quickplay or any of the stuff the game has supposedly lost, like the Righteous Bison not being a travesty. I WAS around to see the bot crisis be so bad I couldn't even enjoy the game I was trying to learn, which is why I fled to Jump Academy in the first place. Things look to be in a decent spot compared to what it has been like since I started playing. Not having to kick a bot every 20 seconds has reinvigorated my enjoyment of pubs immensely. I hope things can continue to improve.

Unfortunate that the game is so infested with absolute scum degenerate trannies and furries, but at least I can frag them and call them a fag without being banned. Not sure why I wrote all this, I just really enjoy this game and wanted to share my experiences as a relatively new player (compared to many of you dinosaurs).

Surf was my drug of choice when not pubbing. Unfortunately, the biggest TF2 hub for non-combat surfing died several years ago. RIP ReSurfed.

when VenusianRaper put out that FatMagic cheating accusation vid it was the funniest thing of all time. I have to respect the complete lack of dignity to embarass yourself just to cause drama

crosspost from the tf2 community thread
Thewhatshow published 2 posts on X showing the final point of the #savetf2 / #fixtf2 campaign. A book was brought to Valve headquarters entitled. “A message from team fortress 2 community” containing all the names and nicknames of players who signed up via save.tf; the number of signatures is 343,711.

I believe that this action was a dud. I even forgot for a long time that such a thing existed. I also think that in the last moments the person who should have started it all, that is, BossmanBanana Weezy, should have been more active, but it was shifted to the shoulders of Thewhat. Also, that the action should have ended in August, but due to the cost of printing the book, it was moved to September (based on a comment that Weezy wrote under the latest Lon'qudor video). And yes, the only positive thing the action has brought is a banwave of bots, and I guess it will stay there, as Valve prefers to direct its resources to Deadlock and a possible HL3.

the tldw is that #fixtf2 succeeded in getting the signatures to valve, but to what purpose it's unknown, since several of these signatures are basically dupes or inconvenient to say the least
