also in the story Heavy is actually anti-communist, i forget if its for any actual ideological reasons i think its more because they fucked with his family but still iirc his family routinely kill dozens of commies that try and seek them out. so itd be like complaining polish protag in wolfenstein uses a mauser or a weapon he got from pummeling a german to death to escape the castle.
Just the comics heavy as I understand. BLU heavy can easily be a commie. Then again TF2 has an odd position with canon. Like where does the Soldier vs Demoman storyline even fall into? Or red spy fucking blu scout's mom, but later it's implied that red spy also fucked red scout's mom.
but I'm suprised you can live in Poland and still be a faggot of this fucking caliber.
I'm hardly surprised. Nearly every pole I met online are complete faggots or have something else that's off about them (bonus points he goes to reddit). No offense to polish Kiwis. Had no issues with you guys yet.

i thought that in comics the mercs we know as say heavy were just singular individual people that switched teams and contracts all the time. and the rest of the teammates were just jabroni cannon fodder. i think that there actually being palette swapped versions of them on the other team is more a trailer series thing which honestly fits more with the actual game than many of the comics

If they ever made another Team Fortress game they should make eighteen unique characters, nine for each team.

Valve removed it not cuz they are based, but because they didn’t want to start a Where’s Waldo flag hunt war on every single submission. Especially when the opposite side might try starting hiding confederate flags and stuff
Agreed. A win is a win, but do not be deceived by nuValve specially. They're just avoiding future trouble, that's all.

TF2 lore is a clusterfuck, and I don't even mean the intentional, comical aspect of it. It's never explained anywhere why the mercs fight clones of themselves in gameplay and in the trailers.

You could headcanon what @MeltyTW said, or something like, Engineer and Medic made a clone machine for the Administrator, so she can play both sides. But no official explanation.

As far as the lore goes (specially if you believe the clones represent expandable cannon fodder) the main Spy fucked the main Scout's mom. Both seem to be Red Team in the comics and Expiration Date, which represent the latest take on that story from Valve.

But truth is it's all autistic theories and they never cared about this, you're not supposed to overthink it.

I always thought tf2s original-at-launch setting, theme, etc was itself a joke about multiplayer shooters that had rich stories and lore.

"Where are the mercs fighting? Middle of nowhere."
" Why are they fighting? Doesn't matter, start fragging "
" What are the differences between the two teams? Literally nothing, it doesn't matter."

The stories other multiplayer shooters have to justify the obviously ridiculous set up of adjacent bases and identical characters is just riffed on and acknowledged that it doesn't matter, it's about the fun.

And all that is ironic because tf2 has more interesting characters in the long run than many other mp fps

:story:
Man, it really sucks removing flags, doesnt it? Thank God that there never was a situation where shoving one type of flag through an optional mod on the player led into a shitshow that resulted in a ban and a "Shut up, its our site and we can do whatever we want" reply to the community.

The fucking hypocrisy of leftists is hilarious to watch when its not infuriating. It truly is their whole personality and religion at this point.

Wurlmon (the faggot behind the cosmetic with the tranny flag) is Polish judging by his posts on r/polska. I'll try to dig some shit up about him but I'm suprised you can live in Poland and still be a faggot of this fucking caliber.
(him seething about the removal on the tf2 emporium discord)

The gun being named "The Family Business" and being coupled with mafia cosmetics gives a slight jab by calling The Soviet Union a mafia, too, if you want to pull a breadtube and overanalyze the meaning of a single texture for street cred

for the people that were waiting for it, zesty new is up

Valve played the long game by drip feeding info about the setting and the mercs with their comics and animations and they also did the stroke of genius by allowing people to mess with these characters and make animations with them with SFM, making them even more spread around online. So the mercs, and other valve characters, end up having a presence even beyond the games they originated.
