Update: Bro's literally shaking because he needs to get a legal document notarized:

I'm sure going on the Killstream instead of getting this sort of thing lined up was a much better use of his time.

edit: He deleted it. Link to 1080p file at catbox. Added the comments from the youtube page as an attachment. 7z contains the json of the comments.

Think he's shaking because he's shitting himself about finding a notary or because he's actually off the sauce since returning to Vermont and is having withdrawals?

If I needed a notary public for legal documents, it was easy as walking into any bank and asking. Usually, multiple employees were notaries. Or is that too much for this social anxiety loser to do?

his hands were shaking pretty hard in that video. looks like it might be rough goings for him right now. i forget, is it shakes when you haven't had a drink recently after drinking heavily for a long period?

Everyone knows you're supposed to tell the government you lost your guns in a boating accident. I thought styx was supposed to be a libertarian?

the FASTEST archives in the West, godsneed y'all.
On a scale of 1 to Rekeita how much implosion are we gonna see from this?

If he wasn’t charged by now, he’s not getting charged. DAs typically don’t sit on felony charges with the guy free to leave the state and what not. They have the option to charge while within in the statute of limitations, but they’re only going to consider that if some kind of new evidence or testimony drops in (that actually relates to the case).

I have to say, Stolas does some fine work. I'll admit that my knee jerk reaction was to say that Magi-Chan mogs Stolas in the felting retards department but that's a solid panic video right there. Sorry for doubting you Stolas, stay the fuck away from me.

Dude, it's not a felony. He has a Misdemeanor DV. That has a 1 year max sentence which is a 1 year statue of limitations for prosecution.

This is again a state matter before conviction, and up to what the judge says they can't have whether on bail or not.

It starts that way. Also really bad night sweats, legs involuntarily jerking when trying to sleep, and extreme fitful insomnia. Also, psychologically, you feel EXTREMELY emotionally raw and anxious beyond all reason... like on the brink of bursting into tears for no reason (which is why I called it feeling like being a steel wire under extreme tension feeling like it's about to snap at any moment). This is just based on my experience. That's exactly what is happening with him, I can see it plain as day in the way he moves because I've been there many times. If you were to ask him to spread his fingers out and hold out his hands it would look comical, like Parkinson's.

For the extremely heavy users this can proceed over the next handful of days to hallucinations, nausea to the point of vomiting, and eventaully seizures (DTs etc.) and then even death. I severely doubt Styx will get anywhere close to these symptoms though, as they require being a really hardcore (as in, all day long from the moment you wake until the moment you pass out) drinker for a very, very long time. If that were the case it would be more evident on his past streams I think. I drank a fuck ton for a very long time and I never got any of those types of things, just the symptoms in the first paragraph. That being said it's no joke - it can literally kill you, it's one of the few withdrawals that can. It's not like heroin where you just feel very sick and shitty but will surely be OK (I've never done that shit and I'm sure it feels bad to stop but I know for sure stopping can't literally kill you like booze can.)

If I were him I'd be driving down to CVS ASAP and getting Vitamin B1/Thiamine (it's cheap and ubiquitous), and taking a heavy fucking dose the next few days. This isn't some homeopathic nonsense mumbo jumbo either, booze strips it from your body and brain and blocks your ability to absorb it, the lack of it causes a lot of the extreme symptoms. They'd 100% be giving it to him at the hospital in heavy doses too if he were to go right now (along with something like Ativan to calm him). The lack of it for many years is a primary cause of alcoholic dementia in old people who've been at it for many years too.

If I were to guess, in all likelihood, he'll just start drinking again because the discomfort will be too great. It really is an awful, awful feeling.

Has he actually been charged with the misdemeanor? Didn’t see it in the highlights. I assumed he didn’t get charged since the latest post were basically saying nothing happened.

You can get a protective order judged against someone without charges filed.

I’m sure making a YouTube video asking for notaries is more effective than going out asking for one. I mean, he googled notaries. None nearby. Surely notaries would operate a business notarizing and it’s not just a certification that adds to employment value.

My guess is that Tarl may have trying to not drink on and off. With small successes being followed by eventual failure.

Or maybe today is rough because he knows he should drive with guns and sign a document in front of two notaries in a gun shop while drunk. He may be going nuts because he hasn't has his first drink of he day.

Yes he was charged, that's the arrest. A mis DV doesn't need an indictment, it's not a felony. So the arrest/charge are when you are booked.

ETA, I might've been wrong on the details here. Depends on if he was arraigned yet.

As someone who has struggled with booze for a long, long time I can see exactly what's happening, physically I mean. When he picks up the piece of paper or tries to rest his hands together you can see them shaking, unsteady and imprecise. I remember trying to eat soup or hold a glass up to my face to drink it the day after "quitting" and it fucking shook like a leaf. I know exactly what he's feeling like right now, like a steel wire under extreme tension ready to snap, or a thin piece of glass that could easily shatter.

I don't know how deep he's been into it before he stopped so it might just be the shakes and insomnia for a day or two, but if he was really bad, he either starts again real soon or he's in for a wild, dangerous ride the next few days.
That was what I was getting at. It's even in his voice. His GABA receptors have adjusted to chronic wine drinking and now he's in withdrawal. I've seen people who abstain abruptly go into grand mal seizure. It is dangerous, and he would be safer in rehab with a lorazepam protocol to get him past potential delirium tremens.
