Hey now I am an anime, but Kojima is a hack and the only metal gear that said anything deep was Revengence
Revengeance was the best game of its generation.
It's amazing the cultural lasting power MGR has even today despite not being a massive commercial hit. A lot of the dialogue and cutscenes are corny (still cool as fuck) and the music is dubstepish butt-rock with catchy melodies (still cool as fuck) and my enjoyment of the game is hurt by neither. We really got such bangers as pre-Trump Make America Great Again and "The good old days after 9/11". And yes, I would unironically vote for Armstrong and Red Sun is one of the coolest songs on the soundtrack. Sundowner is such a fun character. Every song honestly works so well with their respective bosses. Music by the same guy who composed the music for Toontown Online by the way.
PlatinumGames has far more hits than misses and have a reputation of putting out games with a good core gameplay experience on a shoestring budget. Vanquish, Bayonetta, MGR, MadWorld, Anarchy Reigns, hell, I'd even put Ninja Gaiden 4 on the list (good action game, kinda eh Ninja Gaiden game). Instead of all of these companies shoving money into a furnace to bake shit nobody asked for, someone should have given PlatinumGames an actual decent budget for the MGR:R sequel that the original teased at with the ending.
