idk why Master System isn't the default with these games to begin with. I get shit like Triple Trouble because there was no Master System version for it, but shit like Sonic 2, where you're trying to hunt for the chaos emeralds where everything is scrunched closer to Sonic is a pain in the assand it appears that Sonic Origins Plus' game gear games don't haveMaster Systemwidescreen support.
Plus, the Master System didn't really have anything memorable with the early Sonic games. The Genesis was still better with handling the hedgehog back in the day.idk why Master System isn't the default with these games to begin with. Man, the special stages were cutthroat, and not just the Master System games either. Sonic 1 was the worst offender.
Sonic 1's Special Stages were more about having patience and waiting for the walls to tilt at the right time to get to the emeralds. IMO the third special stage in that game is the trickiest because it's one gigantic open space with the emerald being ALL the way on the other side with exit warps surrounding it. By the time you get to the 4th and 5th one it get's easier to the point where the 6th one just goes "OK HERE, HAVE IT!!" and places you right next to it.Sonic 1 was the worst offender.

Sonic 2 Special Stage with Sonic + Tails: Allow me to introduce myself.Like for me, it gets frustrating in every replay.

Waking Up is an absolute banger.I still can't help but like Shadow the Hedgehog. Looking back at it, it's kind of charming how cartoonishly edgy it is. Plus that soundtrack was great.
Is anybody else slightly disappointed Superstars isn't Mania 2? I'm still pretty glad we're getting a cool looking 2D Sonic but I was just thinking about that.
Why yes, and in other news, the sky is blue.Is anybody else slightly disappointed Superstars isn't Mania 2? I'm still pretty glad we're getting a cool looking 2D Sonic but I was just thinking about that.
Continuing that train of thought, he went on to infer that Sega takes the idea of "reboots and remakes" into account when setting the course for its intellectual properties—although again, he singled out Sonic as the prime example. "Of course, we have to do new things, but as with all IPs, we don't have new works or reboots," he explained. "We will develop while selecting which is appropriate at this timing for each IP, such as 'This is the best way to do this IP'. 'Sonic' is also SEGA's signature IP, and in parallel with the new game, we are considering reboots and remakes."
But didn't they reboot Sonic in 2014 as well with the failed Sonic Boom?Because the last time they rebooted Sonic, it ended up sooooooo well

Yes, in fact Steven Frost, former producer of SOA was saying how Sonic SHOULD have his speed reduced and the games should be multiplayer focused because (at the time) that's where the industry was heading. But didn't they reboot Sonic in 2014 as well with the failed Sonic Boom?
