The colonialism they'd refer to is just making the characters white. While there are some real life cultures or places that might be doing that (Philippines for example seems to have some sort of preference or something in wanting to have lighter skin), it's not like a making a cartoon character white is colonialism, not unless that was somehow a method used back then when there were colonies.Ehhh, I'm not feeling the "colonialism" here. For a start there's no "colony" with Disney Princesses...
Also worth noting the little subtle weaselwording here. When they do it, it's "Racebending", if it's a way they don't like then it's "Whitewashing"...
