I actually quite liked Neptune, and the fear of water thing was a stupid thing shoved into Volume 3 to make a joke out of him. In Volume 2 we learn that despite him being a ladies man that's more of a facade to hide his insecurities. His talk with Jaune during the dance was actually one of the best written scenes in the show. It even avoided the pitfall of having a character misunderstand a situation and make a huge scene and look like a prick because he actually ended up talking to Neptune about why he turned Weiss down. And after talking about it Jaune finally gives up on his crush on Weiss and tells Neptune to talk to her, which was great cause I found Jaune's crush on Weiss to be kind of annoying. It was setting up what could have been a nice relationship. We only got a bit of Neptune in Volume 2 but there was plenty of opportunity to develop him and his relationship with Weiss further that got thrown out immediately, which just made Neptune pointless. He was clearly set up as Weiss's love interest and then he just vanished after Volume 3. Him appearing in Volume 6 was literally just to make sure people knew Ilia was a lesbian cause apparently they didn't already make that clear.

And when I mentioned BlackSun as endgame I meant that was what the intention from the start, not what is actually going to happen. Miles is too much of a spineless idiot to follow through on it cause he's more concerned with upsetting a part of the fandom and possibly Barbara by not making their stupid out of character ship canon. It's clear with how much time was spent on Blake and Sun's relationship with many clear signs that they liked each other it's ridiculous to claim that they were supposed to be with anyone else.

I disagree about Jaune and Pyrrha completely. There's WAY too much time spent building them up, comparable to even Sun and Blake, and the scenes with Jaune and Ruby scream "just friends". Outside of maybe the first scene with Jaune and Ruby there's not a lick of romantic implications at all. Jaune and Pyrrha were being set up very obviously. Pyrrha dying just meant that they wasted everyone's time spending three seasons building a romance that went nowhere. Even now without Pyrrha Jaune and Ruby come off as brother and sister.

Honestly, If they wanted to do the Weiss X Neptune shit then more should be put into his character.

Besides the fear of water and being nothing more than a gay joke (‘Dem Straight Doods Hitting on a Lesbian? COMEDIC GENIUS!’) which thanks to your post I actually came up with some decent ideas off the top of my head in like ten minutes after reading it lol.

If we see him and it’s not for shitty comedy, they should:

-Establish his words of being an intellectual, show off his smarts by either having skills with tinkering weapons (His and Sun’s) or perhaps him giving out a bit of exposition for Vacuo in terms of their History if he returns in the next Volume alongside Sun.

-If they want him to be more interesting, make him a Foil to Weiss as Sun is to Blake. Though we don’t need to hear everyone’s goddamn backstory in this fucking show, at least give a little to Neptune the same way they did with Jaune’s sisters;say that Neptune came from humble beginnings with his family owning a small shop in Mistral (Whether it be a Restaurant, Clothing, Textile, or Whatever) and he’s the only child of two civilians while his parents do embarrass him / are protective of him, they ultimately love their son and support his choice as a Huntsman.

-Don’t pull an Oscar and do off-screen Character Development.

If Rwby had aired 6 years ago Sun would have a chance
RWBY did air six years ago. Its first volume premiered on July 18th, 2013.
As for RWBY, the heroes didn't even know the villains even existed until the very end of volume 3. And We didn't get their motivations explained until volume 5/volume 6. We are up to volume 7 and it's the first season we, and the heroes, know what the villains want and why that is bad... I would say that's a horrible setup.
Six years of setup. Even Fairy Tail got to the point in two.

Guess, I should clarify as I wasn't clear. I meant if what we are currently watching was 6 years ago, not that it should 've started 6 years ago. But admitedly it still a short time span as I did grossly underestimate the timespan

Around the time before all those franchises started to fall to woke culture in mass. Pre- 2010s to be more exact.

If it's any consolation this trend will likely die next decade as the younger Zoomers and Gen Alpha become the target demos.

Honestly, he and Clownfish might be the only ones to call out RT’s bullshit.
Reddit does it all the time. The post on r/roosterteeth talking about the crunch scandal is one of the most upvoted posts in the entire sub and every time RT slipped up this year the sub called them on it.

Hei just claims they're a hugbox who don't criticise RT because they don't like him and being blunt, neither do I. He looks like a snake.

Oh I absolutely agree. This is what should have happened with Neptune in Volume 3-onward since Volume 2 set him up. Since we learned a little about him in Volume 2 show more in Volume 3, especially when the Vytal Festival is going on and there's plenty of opportunity to show that he's smart. Hell even him having a study session with Weiss would help. And yes just a bit of backstory on him would do wonders. Show him and Weiss in a happy relationship and even use it for some development for Weiss too. Let's see a different side to Weiss when she's dating Neptune. It doesn't need to be too complex. Any writer worth their salt could make this work.

I think they even could have worked it out with having Neptune come in during Volume 6. As dumb as it was to just have his character vanish for years you could bring him back and have him want to rekindle the relationship that never got to happen because Beacon fell. Let Neptune tag along and help out (and let the poor man have an actual fight for once). Just play into the fact that he's missed Weiss and how both of them have been busy with more serious matters since Beacon fell and everyone got scattered. Hell they also could have addressed what the rest of Sun's team has been doing while he was with Blake for two seasons. There are so many chances and opportunities that they just don't take.

TL;DR: Underpaid animator takes revenge by spoiling RWBY. Not sure if legit.

If true, what a shit arc for a character. It might have been significant if he died to him the first time(in relation to other characters), now it's just blatant murdering a character cause they hate the actor.

Why be surprised if this is true? Remember, Miles Luna was and still is determined to wipe Glynda Goodwitch from the RWBY-Verse (Well, the parts he has more control over) just because he along with the rest of Cuck Teeth are still majorly bootyblasted after Kathleen chimped out on Twitter against the company, him, Kerry, and some more people I’m probably forgetting.

Little by little, my faith in the show improving goes overboard like unattended cargo on a swaying ship on dry land.

If Qrow was going to die, I’d imagine they’d wait at least one volume to avoid looking on the nose petty.

Isn't Hero Hei just a slightly less fat TheQuartering? He made a whole video reeeeing over someone making a meme mocking how repetitive his channel content was. Honestly he gives off major lolcow vibes.
Good to know I'm not the only one who isn't fond of this chromosomically challenged individual.

If they kill off Qrow, do you think he'll get the same treatment, making him and Glynda RWBY's equivalent to the two missing Primarchs only in meta instead in-universe?

I suspect they'll just Weasely her at this point, and show her corpse unceramoniously as the consequence of a battle.

Honestly after how Glynda was practically retconned out of existence (and even barred from RWBY Chibi it seems) I was suspecting it was only a matter of time before they got rid of Qrow. But considering how he got promoted to being a primary character getting rid of him would be harder. I was willing to bet money on them killing Qrow off to wipe away any possible involvement Vic had with the show out of spite, and if this rumor is true I'm really not gonna be surprised. I'm sure they only hired a new VA just to postpone getting rid of him so it didn't look like they killed Qrow off immediately after kicking Vic out, but we all know if they kill Qrow it's all about Vic regardless of how RT tries to say that VAs aren't their characters. Though if they DO kill Qrow off I'm gonna laugh at that sperg who now voices Qrow after he threw such a party about being Qrow and acting all high and mighty about it.

I suspect they'll just Weasely her at this point, and show her corpse unceramoniously as the consequence of a battle.

Sadly I wouldn't expect anything less from the dynamic duo Miles and Kerry. I can see them trying to answer the question of "Where is Glynda?" with "She's dead assholes now shut up."

Killing Qrow at this point would just be spite as everyone says... and a very stupid move considering they already got a replacement voice actor.

I just don't see the point. It wouldn't be emotional or anything, it would just be a waste.
