Can't have controversy in your zombie game about a pharma company creating biological weapons and viruses that turn people into zombies.I just wish there were scenario A and B for RE2 remake. Capcom whitewashed Chief Irons being a rapist. OG RE2 was cool because they took different paths even through scenario A.
Mostly, kinda. 3make actually hints at him being far worse, though that's if you read between the lines.Capcom whitewashed Chief Irons being a rapist.
I don't believe he's ever suggested to be a rapist in the original game itself. He is definitely shown and proven to be a sociopathic sadist in the extreme, given his underground torture dungeon and all of his journal entries where he expresses glee at killing and/or getting everyone he knows killed off, compounded by his taxidermy "hobby". It was really only in the S.D. Perry novel that he was also characterized as a rapist, given that we get a pretty uncomfortable description of how he was about to rape Claire before he got chestbursted.I just wish there were scenario A and B for RE2 remake. When you leave the S.T.A.R.S. office a fax come though that details some of Iron's history, which includes two accusations of rape when he was in collage.I don't believe he's ever suggested to be a rapist in the original game itself
there is a file where it says he is in fact a rapist.I don't believe he's ever suggested to be a rapist in the original game itself. But other than that, I agree 100%.

Double posted, faggot.there is a file where it says he is in fact a rapist.
Not his fault. A lot people (myself included) have been double posting lately due to the forum suffering lag and hiccups.Double posted, faggot.
If it’s forum faggotry right now, then double post forgiven. Not his fault. A lot people (myself included) have been double posting lately due to the forum suffering lag and hiccups.
In that, they cheapened the core mechanic that made that game unique compared to the rest of the series. It really is my fundamental problem with the game while everything else is minor in comparison. You never take a step backward with content with a remake.I just wish there were scenario A and B for RE2 remake.

And just think, in 1.5 he was originally suppose to be a good guy.View attachment 4268198
I'll be damned, you're right. I don't know how the hell I spaced on this considering I was replaying OG RE2 a couple of months ago and I even picked up and read that fax.
Dude, when I got that note in RE2 I was so intrigued. Especially because it came from an outside FBI agent that Chris contacted, it made the game feel so detailed. Same with that file in the archive where one of the police reported seeing Hunk's team in the sewer. It's little stuff like that that can make a game feel really immersive and alive.View attachment 4268198

Wow that's interesting. I have to get the original RE2 and replay that again as I can't remember this particular nugget. The old games sure had a lot of detail packed into them.View attachment 4268198

I think that's true. If you've seen the early build of it that was released several years back, when you get to his office which looks entirely different, he's injured on his couch. And just think, in 1.5 he was originally suppose to be a good guy.
That was the one area i couldve lived without in RE4The island is confirmed to still be in RE4 remake. I mean, I suppose that isn’t a big surprise, but hopefully every area is still in the game. Rate me optimistic.
Female characters are better horror protagonists, period.I actually think Irons is one of the creepiest characters in the series, and I think having only Claire interact with him was intentional. Given the shit he does to mayor's daughter, dealing with him while playing as a female character is all the more unsettling.
That isn't controversial hot take or anything. I think anyone can agree the whole final girl thing in horror films work just for the reasons you outlined.Female characters are better horror protagonists, period.
