r/nursing is a subreddit where every week someone asks the question "What would change if nursing was a male dominated field?"
And the masses cluck back "We'd be paid more."
Bitch, you make $85k a year right out of college. Don't fucking start that shit. If you didn't want to wipe asses, should've gone for coding. Then you'd be unemployed like all the other retards who listen to what other people tell them to do for their life.
Shut up, wipe ass, and collect your massive fucking paycheck.
Meanwhile EMTs make barely above minimum wage across all 50 states and it's at LEAST 60% male. You can top out at like 70k a year max if you are one of the few lucky to go paramedic and then flight medic. Don't even ask how the nurses who work along side flight medics are paid. It has nothing to do with being a female dominated space and you are paid very well. God forbid you have to work for a living... in air conditioning!
Oh, and to compare, r/ems had to ban memes except for fri-mon because otherwise it'd just be another shitposting sub. So I guess if nursing was a male dominated field, instead of being a bunch of cry babies it'd be an actually enjoyable sub.
Googled and found this gem: https://www.reddit.com/r/nursing/co...=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Literally points out the contradiction in their own statement.
Nurses are paid so much they can't hire enough because they can't afford to. You wanna be mad? The issue is reimbursement, not the evil hospitals being sexist. You can only extract so much blood from a stone and our convoluted medical system requires expensive administration labor costs. God these people piss me off. Imagine bitching that you can make over $100k with your bachelor's, work 3 days a week and have overtime out the ass, and the job will PAY for you to get your masters and make $150k, all STILL HOURLY!
These people will always be miserable because rather than fix what they don't like about their life, they just bitch online about how it's somehow someone else's problem. You want to stall all your life, fine. But the rest of the world doesn't care that your crystal glass tower has a smudge on it.
I should append I have nothing for respect for nurses and the nursing profession. This in now way dogs on nursing as a whole. Just the asshats who make up this sub's population. These are the people who bring down nursing. These are the nurses who make the profession look bad. They're the same retards who sit behind their counter all day and act like it's a chore to get someone to help slide up the person who's so sick they can't muster the energy to slide themselves up in bed. There are a lot of good nurses, but there's a lot of bad eggs and they all seem to call r/nursing their home.
