Mike "No but i wanna talk about it anyway"
Tim Heidcker abandoned everything else creatively to focus on a web series that was exclusively about blowhards like this. "i don't know what i'm talking about but i'm going to irregardless"
Jack is a weird person. I don't necessarily mean that pejoratively. I mean he's literally unusual.

I don't know every detail of his biography but the subtext is that, I think, he existed in rural isolation until surprisingly recently (like well into the 21st century). He told Rich on Pre-Rec that the first computer game he played was The Orange Box and I think the implication is that he never used a computer until about that time (2007!).

So the upshot is I can forgive his eccentricities because he lived like an Amish and only emerged from the jungles of rural Wisconsin, naked and trembling, during the Obama administration. He doesn't know how to live as, as they call us, 'the English.'

This is in contrast to Josh who, as far as I know, had a normal upbringing and has been integrated into industrialized society all his life. He's just an asshole.
thats pretty much on point. but add in him being a former alcoholic and growing up around racists, extremely similar to Mike's upbringing apparently.

that probably adds another point on him being like this, if he was from an earlier generation he'd be a bible thumber because of AA's emphasis on god as the higher power, but instead its liberal values as the "higher power" so he will follow that programming a lot of the time.

he's really a typical hicklib. I'm sure if he was online in the early 2010s he was all about being super offensive like every other doug stanhope fanboy was back then. people also don't realize how little the US cares about internet coverage, so it really was that bad if you weren't close to the suburbs. plenty of people's first introduction to the internet really was smartphones.

Discursion on Pluribus which will eventually land on RLM —
I tried to watch the 1st episode around the time it came out, and it went: boring, boring, boring, vivisection, so I peaced out.
I chose instead to get weekly debriefs from the likes of YouTuber Lucas Blue. I'm not a subscriber, but I regularly check in with similar reviewers and on the subject of hickliberalism, self-hating Whites, &c., I have to say that a Black reviewer like LB is oh, let's say 87% less likely to call White people "white trash" or complain about seeing White people, or [and this is my favorite] complain that the cast of a Don Dohler film looks like it was sourced from a "Southern grocery store" — thanks, Jay! If he knew shit about fuck, he would know that the offensive lily-Whiteness of the DD cast would be scarce indeed in an actual Southern grocery store, since most American Blacks live in the Southeast.
My contempt for the way people like Jay blithely throw White people under the bus without a second thought is a bottomless cauldron of roiling spite. For that reason, the whole RLM gang has an ever-shrinking margin of error in retaining my good will.

The catch up was a good episode, for all the bitching about them they were actually pretty lively and jovial. Only weak point was the Hugh jackman segment, It went on too long and probably only happened for the zinger at the end about Bryan Singer.

Makes a world of difference when they're laughing while shitting on things, rather than despairing.

I know they're all shitlibs, but I always assumed Jay would be the slightly more based one instead of Mike.
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if Jay was a total lolcow.
He simps hard for women, you can tell in how he reacts to violence towards men and women on screen.
I remember one episode of Half in the Bag where at one point, Mike said "So if you're from Florida..." and Jay finished with "Go fuck yourself."
That took me out.
He also pushed back on Rich's Tranny Tracker 5000 back in the day.
He has no issue making redneck jokes but don't you dare laugh at a tranny.

Mike, Rich, Tim and Jack are the "based" ones if we can call it that.
If 4 of them started a thing today with no prior built in audience and source of income, they would be a lot more politically incorrect.

Jay has technical skills, he can build stuff, he can film stuff, he can make edit clips.
That's why he's there.
