it is pretty funny about religion that everyone gets so offended that christians say gays are going to hell for being sinners etc but they ignore muslims who actively hunt them or jews that actively believe that jewish blood is the master race and any non jew is an animal
you sure canYou can be offended at people who won't chop off your head or close your bank account.
VHS was trash, and I'm glad it's gone.
When it landed on the trampoline video I thought for sure Mike was going to move the wheel back a notch.Really wanted to see Guerrilla Driving. I need that Surviving Edged Weapons fix as much as possible.
Was he the one who radicalized you against the gays and lead to you becoming a Kiwi?I actually got to see Carman in concert as a kid.
Ya I really liked unspooling broken ones as a kid; usually the tape is fairly brittle and snaps when you play with it but occasionally you find one with some sort of unbreakable super-tape in it that only gets stronger when you stretch it and now you have a very long Imagination RopeThe only honestly good use VHS has anymore is, seriously, if you're really into finding weird random bullshit that's long since been forgotten. AKA exactly what they do on Best of the Worst. Other than that, uh... art projects? Decoration? The loose tape you can pull from one is shiny and pretty IRL.

But did they beat/kill their wives and girlfriends?Strong and Carman both died last year...
the RLM curse is getting so strong you could die a the year before they feature you in a video.
Not gonna lie, I wasn't paying much attention but definitely looked up cause that's what I thought I heard too."There's a nigger in the chamber and his name is Jesus christ".

Not surprised just bored. What’s the next act? Video games and why they cause violence? It’s just dated and boring.Woah people are suprised when working class liberals express working class liberal ideas?
"The least they could do is be funny!"Not surprised just bored.

It's all a matter of perspective. I like RLM but their views can pretty much be summed up as late 90s-early 00s liberalism. It's easy for them to denounce the Carman video because there's literally no backlash that will come, denouncing "anti-gay" 90s Christianity in 2023 (or 2022 when they filmed it) isn't a brave or controversial opinion. I also would love to know what their opinions or their friends/families' were on gays circa the time of that video. I have a feeling they wouldn't be so brazen about their defense of homosexuality at the time.it is pretty funny about religion that everyone gets so offended that christians say gays are going to hell for being sinners etc but they ignore muslims who actively hunt them or jews that actively believe that jewish blood is the master race and any non jew is an animal
Yeah I forgot to mention that. That tape was before my time, but I wondered if they were ignoring if crime had gotten bad in a specific area. I have older family that watched their city turn to gang warfare and had to change their way of life almost literally overnight. It's all a matter of perspective. If there was a Muslim VHS describing their views on the gays from the 90s, I doubt it would even get on the wheel, let alone be watched on video. If it somehow were, there would be all kinds of apologetics despite them likely saying that all gays need to be killed. Never mind the fact that even the most religious Christian videos stop at gays are going to hell. It's not even intentional, I don't think they have some kind anti-Christian agenda but what little politics they share is basic bitch levels of understanding.
This isn't even relegated to Christianity. Take a look at the video on self preservation against crime. While it does go into extremes that are comical such as tying a rope on your bed at all times to climb out the window in case you're getting robbed, there is some solid advice. Many of them repeat the point that it's "fear mongering" which is understandable for a bunch of middle aged white guys likely living in safe, mostly white neighborhoods. But go ahead and tell people living in the inner city that they're paranoid or fear mongering for wanting a firearm. Jay also then mocks the idea of practicing drills in case of emergencies. If he's never been the victim of a crime, fine, but surely he's heard of fire drills or other safety drills to practice in case of emergencies.
It's not even unique to that video, basically any time guns are mentioned as anything outside of the context of action movies they're treated like a big joke only meant for insecure people. It's exactly the kind of perspective I'd expect from middle age men with reasonable means that aren't looking over their shoulder cause they're a vulnerable party living in a dangerous part of town cause it's the only place they can afford.
On the opposite end, there's that fire safety video which someone like Rich could've actually used as a child but most people see it as a big joke. The presentation is cringe worthy but the message is well intentioned and there are definitely people who need it.
go watch the be cool about fire safety episode he tells the storyYeah I forgot to mention that. The methods were cringe, but his intensity might’ve been called for.
And omg did Rich really set his grandparents kitchen on fire making fries? I thought Jesse was joking.
