With the bit torrent seeding and leaching, is there any financial benefit for the seeder, would Josh have made money on this? Also, since the DD file has been around for a long time and is no longer confined to the group that paid thousands for access, can we assume that Josh didn't pay for it? I don't know if paying for it makes any difference for the case, but I would hope it would be a sharp jab in the eye to Anna, Jim Boob and meech, that he spent money on it while (likely) subsidized by JB/M.

My mom works in discipline at a K-12 school. Two years ago she got questioned because a kid (5th grade) she had custody of in in-school-suspension was accessing porn on the chromebook he had for classwork - this fifth grader apparently learned how to bypass school firewalls and site blockers and she had no idea or reason to suspect. He showed it to another boy in ISS, a teacher's son, who told his mom. She hits me up a few months ago with the news this now 7th grader has been removed from his home, the school, and sent away because he had started raping/molesting his two little sisters who informed one of their teachers about it. Apparently the mom knew, and "tried to stop it" but evidently it didn't work. So you have a child who is apparently techy at a young age, and therefore always 1 step ahead of his parents in terms of tech literacy, being exposed to porn at a young age (because as we know there's no negative side effects of porn you prudes), who then goes on emulate what he views on his kid sisters because the viewing is no longer enough. It's probably too late for him and he'll be in jail for rape as an adult. How do we really fix this? AFAIK the parents (or mom) aren't fundies just probably white trash.

If a child is deviant and a sex criminal, for raping peers or molesting children, all parents can do is try every avenue they can think of, and everything that is recommended to them. If that means extensive stays in psychiatric hospitals, medication, daily therapy, Finding colleges for special needs kids that have systems in place to house and educate the mentally unstable while protecting the community (elliot roger lived in such a place, and yeah, look how that turned out, I just point it out as an example of what parents can do). Maybe a child is so far on the sexually disturbed side that they need to be committed for life, or live in some sort of sex offender halfway house when they turn 18. I really don't know what does and doesn't exist, all I know is that it's a parent's job to do more than shrug, say "boys will be boys" and "it was just a little touching over the clothes" or "he's confessed and repented his sins so all good!" Touching a 5 year old is a neon, flashing sign that this goes beyond curiosity and is a sign of things to come.

Not all kids, in fact, most kids, don't rape and molest after being exposed to porn. I had friends in middle school who found one of their brothers' or parents vhs porn tapes (not made by them, bought by them, like debbie does dallas or something) and they watched it over and over. None of them went on, at least through high school, to rape or molest. I grew up at a time when most people's parents kept their playboys on the toilet, and sometimes guys would take it and show friends, but basically there wasn't a culture of harping on porn, masturbation, sex as this dirty no-no thing that needs to never be thought about. Sure, our parents all probably hoped we'd remain virgins to adulthood or marriage, but they also made sure we knew no glove, no love. It was a time before things got so prude, and schools had sex ed, and condoms. It wasn't encouragement, but it was just common sense.

So basically, in the real world, not the duggar, quiverful, IBLP world, we need to go back to teaching kids about safe sex, stop harping on purity, like purity rings and daddy-daughter purity contracts. Normal parents need to stay out of what their kids do in private in terms of touching themselves. Stop raising kids with shame. That would go far to stop nurturing people into sex criminals.

With the right treatment and help, I don't think it's too late for some teen rapists to learn and be rehabilitated. I don't think there's any reprogramming for those who molest relatives or young children. These aren't just sexual crimes of opportunity, they're crimes of deviancy and violence. Josh falls into this category, and really, in addition to it being criminal behavior on his part, it was criminal behavior on the parents' part, because they're the ones who should have been looking out. Perhaps that's the crux of it, parents need to bear some of the criminal punishment. Perhaps if their minor child molested minor siblings or neighbors, the parents would have to pay a fine. And till the child was 18, the parents and their residence would have to be on the sexual offender list (in a separate category that wouldn't prevent them from getting work). It's like pets, if my dog bit another person or their dog, nobody would gaf if I sent my dog to training, it's me who would be sued.

These homeschooling cults create Flowers in the Attic situations. Counties and school boards don't have the resources to drop in and interview homeschoolers, but that would probably help. When you think about the heads of lots of these religious groups/cults, they're deviants themselves. Bill gothard, for instance. I'm sure a lot of his teachings are, in part, motivated by the desire to have a crop of naive girls to prey on. He's already preyed on their parents to determine their lifestyle and fill his coffers/buy his pamphlets, tracts and whatever. "Buy used and send the other half to your faith leader"

ETA: it doesn't help that these qiverful families mostly exist in poverty, as they're instructed to not take on debt - like a mortgage, and to work for themselves (and if they can't work for themselves, do not work under women). JB&M lived in a 2 bedroom house till after their 16th kid. THAT on its own should be illegal.

The authorities found the remains of one child buried on the premises though, didn't they? I've read that multiple times, I don't know if they found the body by themselves or one of the teenagers told them. Was that proven to be false?

I thought his choice of his younger sisters as victims simply because of their availability and not because he had a preference for children may have been the case at the time it came out, too (Josh was also only 14, I think, at the time it happened).

The new charges put any such speculation to rest. He has a wife who is obligated to have sex with him anytime he wants, has cheated with prostitutes, and, after admitting to a porn addiction after the Ashley Madison scandal, could have watched consensual adult porn. Instead he chose the absolute worst of the worst CP. He’s a pedo, and a sadistic one at that.

Fundie men don’t change diapers. That’s gross stuff for mothers and sister moms. I’m pretty sure Jim Bob (or maybe it was Josh) has called for Michelle or one of the older girls when a diaper change was needed on the show. I also think I remember reading/hearing that the Duggars don’t let the boys look at their infant sisters having their diaper changed/being bathed (In retrospect, I kind of understand why...).

Josh is such a devoted husband and father that he took a nap when Anna’s excruciating home labour took too long and he got sleepy, leaving her to scream in pain with only a film crew to support her. If he started changing his daughters’ diapers, the red flags should have been smacking Anna in the face.

This made me think of Jessa and Ben’s social media response to Josh’s charges: “As Christians, we stand against any form of pornography and abuse.” So, these parents of young children are grouping in child pornography with (legal) consensual adult pornography. No, they probably didn’t have the details of the actual material at the time, but arguably all CP is child torture. And they definitely either sat in on the hearing, or will get the transcript after making that statement. Great idea, taking a horrific public family event and using it to smugly remind everyone that, even if they obey the law and treat others well, they’re going to hell and the Duggars aren’t. Yes it's common courtesy, but it's also required if you want to be a part of certain private trackers which require proof of you seeding a certain percentage. No leachers allowed in those places, if you manage to get an invite.

Two of the girls were found safe later. One girl was reportedly (told by Scully’s ex) made to dig her own grave in the basement by Scully, then strangled on video and buried there.

But I believe that while they might have found a body, they couldn’t make a positive ID.
 
It shouldn't be a stretch to assume Scully and Co. are responsible for the deaths of several other children, not just those featured in DD. It is unfortunately very very easy to get free children no one will miss in the Philippines and empowered sex workers uwu prostitutes as young as 11 are quite common there, like Cambodia. Scully was in the Philippines. This is not a coincidence.

And I knew I'd get a "bbbbut" response the second I implied the kid who started raping his sisters probably got ideas from exposure to porn that young.

Any sort of child care and most house chores are reserved as being "women's work". Hence why all the girls look after the youngest kids/each other while doing housework, while the boys who are old enough to do so just fuck off most of the time, except for when they're needed for outdoor chores that "only men can do" like mow the lawn. It's the worst of 50's gender stereotypes cranked up to 11, and then put upon a pedestal as these really great traditional values that are dying out.

Also the assumption that looking at naked baby sisters immediately turns brothers into raging sex perverts. I agree. Are pedophiles born or made? I think being born with a certain proclivity for it is necessary, and I think you can be made into one if you have that.

Josh was born with a potential attraction to children, and then kept sheltered from sexuality so severely that I think he basically got super excited by any sneaky peep of something wrong, and then just got more and more interested in worse and worse and more "off-limits" content: touching his sisters, porn of increasing extremes, cheating on his wife and raping a porn star prostitute, cheese pizza, and then violent cheese pizza (DD).

What's the next progression in that timeline of degeneracy? Personally raping a child.

I'm going to bet in the upcoming months that a lot more information about him will be coming out. His victims are likely brainwashed by the church and will never come forward since they were told that it was their fault that they were hurt by Josh.
One thing that does scare me are the ages of his daughters and I really hope that they were not his victims as well. Anna is a useless enabler though and I have no doubt she already instilled it in her kids to protect their father.

As long as he wanted to. Eventually, he might start touching children, again. You never know, of course, but he already felt up his underaged sisters and got a slap on the rest for it.
 
I sadly think he’s been molesting his children but it hasn’t come out yet. He molested his sisters and it’s virtually impossible for a pedo to control himself (especially once he begins offending). I can see him telling Anna to go get something in another room and then molesting one of his children while he’s on bond. After all, what he says as the man of the house is law.

The fact he’s allowed near his children, supervised or no, is fucked up. Especially since we now know he downloaded and watched motherfucking Daisy’s Destruction. That alone should’ve kept him away from every child. That, and get him sentenced to death by scaphism.
 
His oldest daughter is 11 and his second youngest is 5. The sisters he molested were also in that age range, as were the kids being raped in the cp he watched. He also had a cousin of Anna's Michelle's living with them earlier this year as a mother's helper. I think she was around 11-12. No word of her after the arrest but she was probably quietly sent packing.

I really, really, really hope I'm wrong, but I think it would be a miracle if he hasn't done horrible things to them.

Maybe tinfoil, but I wonder if part of the reason the IBLP movement is so hellbent on not teaching kids about sex until their wedding night is because it's harder for kids to report sexual abuse when they have no idea what is happening and why. Since Gothard, the founder, is a convicted kiddy diddler it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. The cult is so insidious because it hides behind this guise of being "wholesome" and "morally pure" when it's actually anything but. Its very structure enables abuse to go unreported and unpunished, with the man being considered Jesus's representative in the home and thus unquestionable.
