If you can't understand the point being made there's no point trying to explain it any further. You don't understand the difference between content and game play. They're not the same thing.
Your point is just retarded. You're trying to say they stop you too much with story stuff. But they barely do.

Pokemon Red long play. By 30 minutes he's at Brock, been through 1 dungeon (Viridian forest) and several trainer battles.

Pokemon Black/White long play. By 30 minutes he's been in 1 patch of grass, had 3 NPC battles, several tutorials and a weird skype call style chat too.

Can you not tell the difference between these two games? Black/White won't let you leave the first town without your rivals interrupting you. Then they immediately jump you with more dialog boxes as soon as you pass through the patch of grass on the straight line route which leads into being preached at by the evil gang. Just compare the first two routes and you see a direct clash of design philosophy.

>Comparing red to gen 5

Lol nice. You should be comparing it to it's direct predecessor. Aren't you also the fag complaining about technical issues? Anyway, from this point I'm saying that you just need to live in reality. What you're saying is equivalent to "re4 set the series on an action trend that made the games shit, so RE4 is shit." While Re4 is still one of the best games in the franchise. You're crying about rivals stopping you but B2w2 have the most content you can possibly do in a pokemon game that isn't a battle facility. Again your argument fails.

You must have a severe case of autism when you can't tell the difference.

Again you fall back on that because you can't explain you're retarded point.
Want a gen 4 video? Fine. Then you can cry how you don't understand that either.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoRlmsroon0 Players already off and catching stuff in the wild by 20 minutes. Which is less time than it took Black/White to leave the starting town and get passed the tutorials.

So the first hour of an rpg is representative of the 10th, 20th, and 30th hours? You got a big brain, dontcha?

You clearly don't. Nice try moving the goal posts but if you refer to my original point it was that B/W constantly disrupts gameplay in order to shove story in your face. None of the previous generations have the same issue and I proved that point by showing a 10 minute increase in story content from gen 1 to 4 before you could start playing freely and then further evidence gen 5 added another 10 minutes of that just to the starting town/first town you visit and continued on beyond that point. If you want to go to Su/Mo then you never leave the tutorial of B/W interruptions wise. It is constant and endless, while B/W at least left you alone while on routes and only book ended them with dialogue.

>Uses a sample size of 1 hour at the start of a game that how long to beat averages at 72 hours to beat, and 43 if you rush it. We're it states that half of those total hours are considered in the story of the game. So again, nice try bud.

B2w2 has the most single player content pre and post them most pokemon games (unless you want to argue about hgss. You're not even making a coherent argument. Like if you look up a list of rival battles with Hugh, there aren't that many.
I can count 5 off the top and that's the whole game+ his daily post game battle.

As for Postgame content
  • PWT
  • Join Avenue
  • Nacrene City-Nuvema Town
  • Twist Mountain for daily fossils
  • Breeding
  • White Treehollow/Black Tower, both of which grant you a guarenteed shiny pseudolegendary at the end the first time
  • P2 Island
  • Nature reserve once you get all the pokemon (and that gives you a shiny Haxorus)
Shall I go on? No one should compare these games to the shitheaps of SUMO

He just doesnt have any idea what he is talking about. He doesnt like the games and wants it to be something completely different. No way that someone who plays these games can have such a bad understanding of it.

Content is not gameplay. Putting 2 pokemon in day care and riding your bike back and forth might be content but it sure isn't gameplay.

Who cares about shinies or collecting fossils? Do you consider games to be good because of how much stuff they let you collect rather than the gameplay experience it's self?

"Only gameplay I like counts as gameplay"

A lot of people, I've seen shinies go for real money.

If a game has more content to collect, then there's more gameplay to savor and thus it's easier to immerse into the world. I find it easier to jump into BW2, even now, then going back and finishing Gen 7 or 8.

It doesn't work that way unless you're literally autistic. Collecting items just to collect items isn't gameplay, you shouldn't be judging your experience on how much junk you're given. I've done shiny hunting and breeding, it's content but it's hard pressed to call it gameplay. It's basically a walking sim at that point except every couple of minutes you get a gacha game where all your eggs open and you might have a shiny one. It's not enjoyable unless you are again autistic and think slow roll gachas are fun.

If you enjoy the newer pokemon games then good for you. My issue isn't with you enjoying them, it's with people confusing content for gameplay. a 30 minute tutorial is content but it's not gameplay. When Space world leaked and was made into a full game I had a blast playing it because I got to play pokemon again with the focus being on gameplay over story. If you track down the rom and play it, you might end up seeing the difference between content and gameplay.

"Gotta catch 'em all" Ring a bell?

It's literally what the series is about. Collecting and being the best.
You proved my point perfectly.

Pokemon is about collecting pokemon. It is not about annoying kids telling you their life story before you murder their pets.

Of course, just like how a tree isn't a plant and how water isn't a liquid.
How is pressing A to skip dialog boxes gameplay?

It's an rpg, it's supposed to have a story dumbass.
