I've had a jigglypuff spawn in the same spot twice but now it's mostly rattatrash and weedle.I've recently discovered that the same rare Pokemon seem to spawn in the exact same spots ever couple days. I've seen a Hitmonchan spawn in the same spot three times, a Hitmonlee spawn 4 times in another spot, a Tangala twice, and a Dratini twice.
Maybe the rare ones spawn on some sort of timer.I've had a jigglypuff spawn in the same spot twice but now it's mostly rattatrash and weedle.
Pokevision.comA Squirtle keeps showing up near my house but because the step shit hasn't been sorted out I can't find it![]()
I played Pokemon Go for the some few days shortly after it was released on iOS.
I don't completely understand how people are hooked. The gameplay seemed shallow (I've just been chucking Pokeballs at the same dozen Pokemon and grinding them into candy), battles were lackluster and boring, and I didn't want to walk around town with my head buried into my phone's screen (I could get hit by a car or get molested/mugged/butt-burgled).
Seems like another Freemium "fad app" that will probably last for a little while longer before people get bored with it. Also, it's an easy topic for news media to raise moral panic over the game because people walk off cliffs, get stuck in trees, and other stupid shit -- it's getting really annoying to see daily Pokemon Go headlines now.
The social aspect is likely what is keeping the game alive and buzzing on FaceBook, but that's not my type of game. I was just hoping for the same thing they release on the Nintendo handhelds, but what more could I expect for a Freemium app on smartphones? Same marketing techniques intertwined with game mechanics, same artificially inflated time-consuming tedium, same lack of end-goal as the rest of the Freemium shit peddled every year.
Is it necessarily a bad game? "Yes" to me, "no" to the people already having fun and memorable experiences with it. I don't do the social media shit, let alone... talk to people.
After a few days of playing it, I ultimately uninstalled the game, jacked off to some poorly drawn Poke-vore flash I found on Google (just to retain the spirit of things), and went to bed at 7:00am. Couldn't sleep, played some Red Dead Redemption, passed out at 9:00am, woke up at 6:00pm, had a panic attack from fucking up sleep schedule, masturbated again to soothe soul, went to bed at 4:00am with help of wine and Benadryl.
TL;DR -- TURBOAUTISTIC OPINIONS
That's my experience (read: miserable game review) with Pokemon Go. Hope you're all continuing to have good fun. Please don't mind my sexual frustration.
Somehow I don't see airports talking about a new school of wizardry at Gate 9.But when Pokemon Go does die, it'll be because Harry Potter Go launches and becomes the next fad game
A popular brand, nostalgia, capturing Pokémon in real life, and it's free.... But then again, part of me still can't grasp the fascination behind Pokemon Go.
Although it's the highest-grossing game on the app store. How much are lazy bums paying in real money to not get off their asses?A popular brand, nostalgia, capturing Pokémon in real life, and it's free.
