I found a poliwag and horsea outside my house cause of that map. now there is just shit around

I've recently discovered that the same rare Pokemon seem to spawn in the exact same spots ever couple days. I've seen a Hitmonchan spawn in the same spot three times, a Hitmonlee spawn 4 times in another spot, a Tangala twice, and a Dratini twice.

Caught an Abra with PC 10, why does god hate me so much :story:

I've had a jigglypuff spawn in the same spot twice but now it's mostly rattatrash and weedle.

Apparently it spawn at entire time like 2pm 2:30pm 3pm etc..

Spawn points are set, and they go off once every hour on the same minute (i.e. 1:15, 2:15, and so on). Once a Pokemon spawns, it will be there for 15(?) minutes. I'm not entirely sure how what can spawn where is determined, although there are some obvious things, such as water types being near bodies of water.

A Squirtle keeps showing up near my house but because the step shit hasn't been sorted out I can't find it

Ok so this hasn't been brought up yet but there's a sort-of solution to the game freezing while you catch something, if you wait for the spinning Pokéball to appear in the top left of the screen at least twice, that's the game saving itself and the Pokémon is counted as caught and you get to keep it. I let it appear at least 3 or 4 times and I've gotten to keep the Poké every time so far.

So, I noticed on Twitter that there were some patch notes released for the Pokemon Go Android version.

Am I the only one incredibly hyped for the ability to change your avatar?

The "removed footprints" thing will just drive more people to using things like Pokevision, unless they just remove them for the moment until the system works again.

I updated mine yesterday and it hasn't frozen since, so that bug is no longer a problem but... they took away the footprints on purpose? It's hard enough to find them as is :c
Although I'm starting to think it's kind of BS anyway because my nearby constantly says there's cool shit nearby like Sandslash and Electabuzz and Omanyte and all that actually appears is the fucking trifecta of garbo pokes

I played Pokemon Go for the some few days shortly after it was released on iOS.

I don't completely understand how people are hooked. The gameplay seemed shallow (I've just been chucking Pokeballs at the same dozen Pokemon and grinding them into candy), battles were lackluster and boring, and I didn't want to walk around town with my head buried into my phone's screen (I could get hit by a car or get molested/mugged/butt-burgled).

Seems like another Freemium "fad app" that will probably last for a little while longer before people get bored with it. Also, it's an easy topic for news media to raise moral panic over the game because people walk off cliffs, get stuck in trees, and other stupid shit -- it's getting really annoying to see daily Pokemon Go headlines now.

The social aspect is likely what is keeping the game alive and buzzing on FaceBook, but that's not my type of game. I was just hoping for the same thing they release on the Nintendo handhelds, but what more could I expect for a Freemium app on smartphones? Same marketing techniques intertwined with game mechanics, same artificially inflated time-consuming tedium, same lack of end-goal as the rest of the Freemium shit peddled every year.

Is it necessarily a bad game? "Yes" to me, "no" to the people already having fun and memorable experiences with it. I don't do the social media shit, let alone... talk to people.

After a few days of playing it, I ultimately uninstalled the game, jacked off to some poorly drawn Poke-vore flash I found on Google (just to retain the spirit of things), and went to bed at 7:00am. Couldn't sleep, played some Red Dead Redemption, passed out at 9:00am, woke up at 6:00pm, had a panic attack from fucking up sleep schedule, masturbated again to soothe soul, went to bed at 4:00am with help of wine and Benadryl.

TL;DR -- TURBOAUTISTIC OPINIONS

That's my experience (read: miserable game review) with Pokemon Go. Hope you're all continuing to have good fun. Please don't mind my sexual frustration.

It is starting to die down a tiny bit, but I bet it'll flare back up one the second gen is released, as well as the third gen. Past that I don't think it'll have nearly as much success, at least with some of the older crowd. I plan on making it until the end. Yes it's a fad game, yes it's kinda boring and I wish that they would have gone about it a different way but it is what it is.

But when Pokemon Go does die, it'll be because Harry Potter Go launches and becomes the next fad game

A popular brand, nostalgia, capturing Pokémon in real life, and it's free.
Although it's the highest-grossing game on the app store. How much are lazy bums paying in real money to not get off their asses?

My house is a Jynx spawn point. Everyday between 5-7pm. I'm ok with this. Better than catching drowzees.
