What are you using for auto looter I’ve been interested in botting accounts again but haven’t done it since 2012. I bought a ton of hats though just not to your extent I’m f2p for now until I can justify time for members.
 

Jagex has launched a new membership survey to random members of the community.
Hey 'Scapers

To better understand what matters most to you, we’re conducting a conjoint survey - a research method designed to explore how players value different membership features and combinations.

This survey email will be sent to players at random via email in partnership with SKIM, our trusted research partner. Note: this email will include your RSN and a unique link. If this is not included, feel free to ignore it.

If you receive this survey, you’ll be presented with randomised sets of options. It’s important to note that this is not a single proposal or finalised plan. Instead, the study tests many different combinations of features to help us understand what our players value. The features you see are part of this randomised experimental test, meaning they’re not final, and what’s shown will vary for each player. Additionally, just because a feature is included in the survey doesn’t mean it will necessarily be implemented in the future.

Your input will help us identify the elements that are most important to our community as we work to build an even better membership experience. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and being a part of this journey!

List of the new paid features they're trying to propose, especially retarded options in bold;
  • Guaranteed transfer of character names, removes the possibility of name swiping bots.
  • Complimentary bonds as part of your membership, given monthly.
  • Improved data access and solutions. Basically hiscores integrations and official plugins on the main client that use them.
  • Pause membership option, it just delays your next renewal.
  • Pre-verified recovery, described as real world ID account recovery.
  • Additional account security features, they included passkeys, temporary one time keys, and character cloning for recovery.
  • Enhanced player support, "beyond improvements we're making to our player support system".
  • Character name reservations, keeps a character assigned name to your Jagex account forever.
  • Enhanced display name features, described as unique colors, custom symbols, bolder names, and changing your combat level to your total level in your right click menu.
  • Discounts on additional member characters. i.e. Pay less if you're the kind of person with more than one account.
  • Multi-character memberships, self explanatory.
  • Limitations for cheaper membership deals, this one is especially retarded because the limitations they have suggested are;
    • A shorter AFK timer.
    • Being unable to use plugins or third party clients.
    • Mobile only access.
    • Ads in a "non gameplay intrusive manner"
    • They didn't bother to mention this one, but they've also proposed limiting which version of the game you have access to. Otherwise, your membership would only be for OSRS or RS3.
  • Access to Community worlds, i.e. Project Zanaris servers.
  • Specialized member worlds, another big one here in what they proposed;
    • Worlds that exclude players with a ban history.
    • Servers in locations they don't currently serve.
    • Different player caps for these worlds.

After watching all of the videos about these features, they move onto proposing a few new membership models.
...after selecting an option you also had the ability to say you would cancel instead if given these options. Note that OR vs AND in the osrs vs rs3 distinctions. Very easy to miss. I'm guessing the prices are in Canadian, but I'm not sure.

Bro I literally just want multi account memberships, that’s it and even that that should be basic in MMOs, this is a game with multiple game modes,official/non official, that jagex themselves promote content creators doing each and every snowflake build you can muster up, and they want you to pay to more to have more than one is so fucked

Also unique name colours? Well congrats you got the usual suspects already that are just raring to go to “uniquely” change their character name colours to whichever flag represents them best.

(Btw this is HadtoMake4Features… I’m sure you can figure out part of what happened to this account)

This is going to become very annoying very quickly.

It may not be Solomon's store yet, but paying more real money so that you can stand out cosmetically from your fellow players tends to be the turning point, when the MTX enter "fuck you, just buy the shiny trinkets" territory.

Also a plethora of useful QOL improvements hidden behind  second paywall is a great sign. Their earnings must not be doing so hot, when such fundamental game improvements are fucking paywalled.

I would actually like this, the league made me tempted to make an Ironman account to go with my main but paying two memberships would be lame. Even if it was only a 50% discount on subscription fees for extra characters it would make that idea more attractive.

The AFK timer on iOS is already minuscule (due to Apple’s limitations, not Jagex) so I’m not even sure how they would implement this across all platforms. I suppose they’d bring everywhere else in line with the iOS version, because making the iOS timer shorter than it already is would be noticeable and very annoying.

I still think this is gonna split the player base too thin and don’t like the idea very much. On the other hand though, the wokest users might fuck off to their own server and leave the normal ones for the rest of us.

The community has been asking for (i) multi-char subs and (ii) a safer name transfer system for years, and instead we're being offered higher monthly prices, subscription tiers with ads or no ads like this is fucking Netflix and all of this other shit? Are these people absolutely retarded?

Now, I coulda swore the bolded text was already a thing in RS3 where you can choose to display either but revert to combat level in PvP environments. Is Jagex suggesting ripping out an existing feature and selling it back to RS3 players at a premium?

Chances are the investment firm bean counters want this stuff and Jagex don’t. The upside to putting it all in a survey like this means they have the data to show said bean counters “your ideas are fucking retarded, 85% of our player base said they’d quit playing immediately if we put ads in the game”. They’ll probably implement one or two of the lesser things to shut them up though.

It is a thing in RS3. You can change it by having your weapons sheathed/unsheathed.
 
Was actually thinking about getting back into Runescape after Josh's video on RS3.
And not even a few days later, I see Jagex whips their cock out and slaps it on the table.
PROTIP: If you start adding extra shit to your payment tiers, I'm just gonna play something else.

Anyway, they're already trying to backpedal. Don't let them get away with it.

You know they are just itching to monetize osrs further but can't introduce mtx so more expensive sub or tiered subscription is their only choice.
Ads idea is just :story: They have a good thing going with being one of the most popular mmorpg game why bother with this idiocy at all. Infinite growth is not a thing with mmos. Just sell the company off retards before it goes downhill.

That’s exactly the problem though, Jagex is a toss around company, it gets bought and sold constantly, new entity comes in and wants to make more money on their investment and we’re seeing those results of the newest owners. The only way this ends and we return to a general annual increase is if someone just buys it out of pure passion and will take losses.

So besides Null my lists is rather short of people that have a pre existing record of doing something like that and also likes RuneScape
 
How the fuck would ads be non intrusive? New NPCs that are there to tell you about products?

Actually, @Elysian you reminded me that Gaia Online did just that. They would have promotional items that tied into whoever was paying that week. Hope the bankers at the Grand Exchange are ready for the Great Depression.

Pretty much every company in the world has the same problems as Jagex.

Too much manager bloat and being publicly traded forcing them to constantly massively grow profits instead of be satisfied with consistent returns and growth.

We all knew Jagex would kill OSRS one day so I do not think anybody is really surprised.

That's absolutely what's going to happen, they've already suggested faking poll results to get MTX through.
Doesn't even matter that people would quit, they could recover their loss in player counts by pushing harder to the mobile audience with rock bottom standards in video games.
