I'm surprised it took them this much time to try and get rid of them from their game. This isn't the first DMM tournament they attended, nor are they known for anything else than rule-breaking and toxicity. Not surprised. They're pretty blatant in their cheating
RoT is famously known for association with Mod Jed, whom has been fired for logging into regular players accounts using other workers admin credentials and stealing their gold at around 250B to RWT, after which he sued Jagex for unfair dismissal and won £1,008.
In-game economy of gold doesn't really matter because it's just a game. Cheating doesn't matter (usually) in RuneScape because it doesn't affect you, unless you're a PKer (but you agreed to step into the dog-eat-dog territory and knew the consequences). Stealing from players as a game company worker is eligible for TND in my eyes, and it's only the tip of the iceberg people unaffected by them know of. These people know and participate in the most scummy things available to them, and turning a blind eye on the matter for so long by Jagex is baffling, ESPECIALLY with the amount of false bans Jagex easily hands out to skillers, which are quashed merely MONTHS later. Yet I feel kudos are warranted to the osrs team for taking any action whatsoever. Better late than never?
