A thing I’ve noticed a lot too (within my CC and some people I’ve done content with) actually don’t read weekly patch notes (.which is fair considering it’s been like months of non updates separated by the OCCASIONAL major/minor content release) EVEN though there’s literally a TLDR posted right at the top of every patch note.

Also Another thing I’ve noticed is that at the top of the weekly patch notes they would sometimes post a section for known bugs that players have reported since the release of that weekly patch, they’ve stopped doing this and I think it’s because the spaghetti in this old ass game is starting to unravel from all the new age stuff they’ve added, Tormented Demons for example have been a massive failure (and btw what company other than Jagex takes 3 weeks to fix new released bugged content???)

Not entirely true. Being truly free with your software, like with life, is a very difficult, constant uphill battle, and every concession you make is to your direct detriment. This doesn't mean you absolutely cannot ever use non-free software, it means that you should have little to no expectations of it. You must know going into it that something like this could happen; it happened, and now you are outraged.

By all means, you may be impacted and feel bad about it, but if you cannot set about to change what irks you, you do not get to complain to others to do it for you. I guess kicking up a fuss may work, too, but it is not worth getting so emotionally invested in software, in my opinion.

Run a 5.x kernel, or patch out the Rust driver, or use some other kernel. Why update software if it isn't broken in the first place? Do you really need to use some anime avatar's 100 LOC Rust program if you can write an identical bash script yourself? If a program you use infringes on your rights, or grossly offends you, you are not obliged to continue using it.
It is a very ascetic lifestyle, if you should have ever fallen for the trap of being a complacent user, but it is the path to freedom, nirvana, or whatever you might call it.

It's like how in modern cars, your driving controls are fly-by-wire, mechanically uncoupled from the actual actuator components. I do not enjoy the fact my car has an unavoidable black box that controls how it operates, and thus I drive an older car with minimal digital intervention. It lacks many of the commodities and improvements newer cars have, but the peace of mind (or rather, lack thereof) I get out of this trade is invaluable and more than makes up.

I JUST FOUND A WHOLE NEW REASON TO BE MAD ABOUT THE PRONOUNS

Tormented Demons (the post quest reward farmfest from While Guthix Sleeps) have been bugged since last Friday on mobile (this happens because jagex can only update files for iOS every Friday I believe) but TIL that Tormented Demons are now bugged THE SAME WAY I’ve seen them be bugged. On spawn they don’t show their overhead prayer which requires you to reload the area (logging out and back in) to see again, you can either just guess what overhead prayer it’s using because it’ll swap the prayer at 450~ HP and continue the fight as normal, however the opening to Tormented Demons is the most important part for killing them efficently due to the vulnerable strike mechanic. I reported this last week as well I’m sure many other mobile scapers did too (I know a clan mate that did).

It’s just a fact that there’s a problem with the newest content available and just outright ignore it for bullshit “inclusivity” non poll bullshit on a stick shit

I really don’t get what the bug report button does in RuneScape because I’ve reported so many bugs to see no change
