I'm just amazed that Oda sat on that shit for like 200 chapters. What other writer says to himself, "I'm not going to pay off this tease for six years"? (excepting writers like GRRM who are just too lazy to finish their books)

It's interesting how after that scene in Mary Geoise that a couple years later, we learn Shanks was born from a Celestial Dragon, so it made fans think that plus him being a Yonko may have meant he could've gained an audience with the Elders.

I'm still expecting a flashback to that conversation sometime soon.

That has to have been Shanks. Shamrock would not need to wear a cloak to get an audience with the Elders. He could tell them, respectfully, that he had something to say and they would make time for him. He is one of their best warriors and a Celestial Dragon afterall. Shanks would need to wear a cloak but not Shamrock.

Did Shanks even know that Luffy was Dragon's kid/Garp's grandkid back when Luffy was a kid? Maybe he subconsciously sensed that Luffy was like him but didn't know why.

I disagree. I think Shamrock wore the robe because people would easily mistake him for Shanks otherwise, given that the meeting happened during the reverie where nobles from all over the world visit the holy lands. It would be a bad idea for a misunderstanding like that to take place at such an important time.

In the latest chapter, Shamrock says that Shanks visited the Holy Land. Page 3, panel 4. Also, the fact that he could have his uniform on, entourage of his fellow knights, his distinct lack of scars, his hairstyle and also the fact that he could just introduce himself. And you should not forget the fact that Shanks does not have the reputation the other Yonko have. Everyone knows him as nice unless you anger him.

You can skip 90% of Skypeia (80 chapters) and be fine.

Honestly, the whole mural spread is amazing to look at.

And TBH, I’m kind of surprised Oda dropped this mural in because it has the chance to possibly tip his hand in regards to what’ll happen in the endgame.

All that’s left is for everyone to recognize Gear 5 Luffy as Nika and then we’re on our way to connecting the dots, untying the knots, answering the questions, putting the threads together, and figuring out the wider meta….until Oda throws another curveball which puts a wrench into everything because readers are about to figure out these things before Robin does, and figure out the way the prophecy becomes reality before Luffy does those necessary things.
 
with what we know now i think the god of the sea is either imu or just means the sea is rising which we knew already. if loki is the serpent of hell it could explain why the gods knights wanted to recruit him. the god of the earth could just mean all the land will go away or it could be an actual person who ends up being the one to free loki.

the mention of a promise is also interesting since joy boy did leave that poneglyph apologizing for not keeping his promise. it makes me wonder if all of this is happening because nika made a promise that he would meet someone again and never did.

this might be wrong but maybe imu is not actually the true main villain either. maybe the original thing nika was fighting is the problem and its just taking advantage of others because its angry that nika failed to keep his original promise.

its all very interesting either way. i hope we get more of an explanation down the line cause it feels like everything is so close yet so far away.
