There are multiple companies already who specialize in 2d games like Wayforward. They're not asking 60 bucks for most of their titles. Metroid Dread really isn't the next step forward when it comes to metroidvanias and it really hasn't evolved much since the 3ds or even GBA.
There isn't really anything revolutionary on the market though, real talk. If the game looks like it's worth 60 bucks(which for the most part it does, looking at the professional reviews and some of the folks I follow on youtube certainly seem to think so as well), then they can price it at 60 bucks. Look at the recent CoD's, do they look like they're worth $60/$70? Fuck no, they all look the same, especially after MW and Warzone. Look at the recent sport games, all they do for the most is update the roster and remove features that the older games have yet sports bros still buy the game full price.

That's kind of the thing it's hard to justify the $60 price tag in general. I've already picked up quite a few PS5 games being sold at 30-40 bucks with some of them being lesser known genres, a lot of stuff has been shying away from the $70 price tag and most stuff doesn't even reach $60 a few weeks in. $50 tends to be the sweet spot for high end stuff and that's the range it will hover at for most of the year. 30-40 for midrange games is the norm and they'll usually dip to $20 or under.

I disagree, I think a game is worth $60 if it can transform your playtime into an experience. Alyx is a game I absolutely did not regret purchasing it at full price due to the experience I have with it. Boneworks is another game I purchased at the full price ($30), and it was still an experience that I honestly wouldn't mind paying $60 for. TitanFall 2? $60, dumped 200 hours into that game and still play it weekly.

Nintendo games don't drop in price though, and that's gay. Ultimately I tried to buy them physical used and try to haggle down the price, but I only really get $10 bucks off.

Not true, they may not do a greatest hits thing, but they absolutely drop in price and can be had for around the 30-40 dollar price range for first party titles.
It kind of depends on whether or not it's an cornerstone game, mate.

How long has it been 45 dollars? Because the game is 4 fucking years old at this point...
Certainly awhile it was in the 30's at the start of the year. Maybe the movie news caused a bit of a bump.

But it's like this isn't uncommon, you can easily find Nintendo games well below MSRP if you regularly check. Even target and best buy discount shit in store.

*shrug* I'm used to always seeing most Nintendo titles being full price, but it's not like I go to Best Buy or Target that much nor do I actively look for deals.

Technically, it's there and a half with the base game. The DLC is more of an side story that explains the context of the setting.

You just picked the one with the most tedious final mission.
We always had nice tea parties in my first playthrough, so I figured I would play his story. Plus the blue guy is a faggot so I'm gonna pass on his story. Me and my girl Edelgard totally called the High Priestess' bluff and exposed her as the bad guy.
