I seriously cannot wait for the multi-hour video essay format to die. No one needs several hours to tell me that a good game is good or that a shitty anime is le bad or that a bad movie is actually alright. I'm so sick of it.

I just skipped to around 3:35:00 and he's making an giant argument over being too attached to your critters to use those exploding rocks. 3:41:00 or so is him criticizing that the final ship part is the piggy bank.

So yeah, great source of background noise for when you're shitposting on here.

I was doing some research about the Switch Pro times where everyone and their mother were reporting about it. A lot of those articles and posts and tweets are shit seem to be mostly gone? I guess if you go deep down you might find some but hell I can't find ANY articles about it when I search for them. Did the memory hole this shit?

I think it depends on if you actually use the time well or if you are stretching shit on purpose. Compare the original RLM Phantom Menace video to that shitty "no masterpiece" Mario Odyssey review from 2017 and the quality difference is clear.

Try Nate the Hate's podcast. I'd warn you that it's hours upon hours of an idiot talking out of his ass but that's probably what you want. Sadly, Switch Pro talk never really got beyond vague clickbait trash articles or speculatory podcasts because it either never left the drawing board or never existed at all (I suspect the former.)

It was especially egregious when it came to nu-Higurashi or F:NV. The pretentious psuedo intellectuals have nothing to say but spam it everywhere to shit up the search engines.

Telling them to get to the point or fuck off already just gets the butthurt sockpuppets to mass report you.

It appears that Nintendo fans went too strongly on Universal Studios Hollywood’s Super Nintendo World preview event, they (or events outside of USH’s control) caused the reservation site to crash and now they’re postponing reservations for about a week.
inb4 "Nintendo fucks up again. It's always like this with them. They can never get their preorders reservations right holy shit."

It's almost as all you retards are always fucking things up by consoooooming the moment its put out.

I agree, with the bit I bolded, but if you meant the Mario "no masterpiece" video by Joseph Anderson then the length there has a point. It's to cut off criticism that he was singling out one bad set of moons so he went through all of them. Seeing Nintendo fans rage in comments and reaction videos that he criticised "bench friends" would've been worthy of this thread.

A great example of long form video reviews done right is TehSnakerer. His Watchdogs 1 and 2 videos are great with very little filler despite being over an hour long.

Did the memory hole this shit?
Those articles likely deleted them the moment the Switch Pro was confirmed to not be a thing. Though when I google duck-duck-go it I get lots of recent articles about it, including a Digital Foundry article with the headline that the switch pro was real but was cancelled.

I thought that was cool at the time, now I want my bing bing wahoo as far away from niggers as possible.

Honestly, seeing that in a NBA Street game no less was probably the closest I’ll ever get to seeing Mario in a NBA JAM game. These days, my heart would get crushed if I ever saw Mario doing a collaboration with NBA 2K.

I can't imagine Nintendo is happy with 2K cheaping out on all of their Switch releases. I don't think they'd get a collab like that unless the base title quality was high enough (and that includes stuff like not being monetized in a predatory fashion or only putting part of a game on-cart and requiring a download for the rest.) Ergo they just aren't going to be getting one. Not that I think 2K would even want stuff like that in NBA 2K.

Can't wait to see Mario take a knee in his rainbow jersey.

The golf one was half-finished on release and most of the update was reskinned courses

There was something seriously wrong with Strikers. I forgot what it was, but it's been added; I think was related to online gameplay
That was all or mostly free though, right? Because thats a lot different from Take 2 putting 360-era ports only half on cart to save money on smaller cart sizes and then basing most of the game's online play on some bullshit pack buying mode.

Yeah, it's mostly free, iirc. But something feels kind of off when you make half of an game that's kind of easy and drip feed the other half of it over the course of an few months
