Without financial incentive Miyamoto would never have made Mario and DK, Yuji Horii wouldn't have made Dragon Quest, and so on. Vidya might have more creative integrity than most forms of business, but it is still a business nonetheless and those industry darlings the soycucks fawn over have zero motivation to give a project their all if they ain't getting paid.
