Damn it, I got stuck at work so you beat me to the news.

Honestly impressed by how much is there. Seeing Hugh was a massive surprise, though I still feel like we need Jimmy. Hugh is up there with Nigel, but unlike Thornberries, Jimmy Neutron feels weird without its great main character. Hopefully we get a second round of DLC and get the Jimmy/Timmy Power Hour. As for the other two characters, Jenny was probably inevitable, but on the bright side, her international distributer also handles Fairly Odd Parents, so we might be getting closer. Rocko is surprising in the sense that I cannot believe he wasn't already in. I am going to assume his model and stage will be taken from Nick Kart Racers 2.

Even with these new three characters, I am still waiting on Jimmy/Timmy, so please have a fighters pack two. Other than them, if they have to do 3 characters per pack, the options would probably be:
  • Zuko
  • Katara
  • Mr. Krabs
  • Squidward
  • El Tigre
  • Tak
  • Kappa Mikey (I wish)

Jenny Wakeman was revealed to be the next DLC fighter in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawlyesterday, alongside Rocko and Hugh Neutron. The latter almost upstaged her, as fans couldn't get over how Jimmy's dad was making it into the game before the boy genius himself. However, for better or worse, Jenny found a way to get the spotlight back on her, thanks to the filthy minds of some fans.
To those of us beautifully unaware of the connotations, the line in question sounds innocent enough, and actually comes from the show. "You wouldn't like my brain! It's all circuity and metallic!", Jenny screams, unaware that she just reminded the world of a very different cartoon she unwittingly stars in. The adult version switches "brain" to "body", for reasons I'm sure you can figure out yourself.
As Twitter blew up, sharing the screenshot around in disbelief, Thaddeus Crews commentedon the discovery. "Boy was I flabbergasted", he said. "While it's a line from the show, it has unfortunate implications by proxy, as such we'll be removing it."
Crews elaborated on the situation in the game's official Discord. "If you ever wanted a concise example of how spread out and not on the same page this project is: here you go. Most likely someone on the team did know what they were doing by adding it".


So there you have it folks - enjoy your lewd reference while you can. And if you have no idea where the line came from, then appreciate your blissful ignorance and do all you can to maintain it.

I'm not sure if there's Azula in this game. I know Korra is in.
But i don't like so much the concept; never liked Smash Bros too much.
Seems a better alternative to play Brawhalla thought.
 
Yet, still no voice acting. Funny, because when the upcoming crossover game, Warped Kart Racers, managed to get voice acting (albeit reusing samples from the respective animated Fox shows), then you know something's fucked up.
Huh, now that's an idea for a new thread.

I'll never understand how Brawlhalla took off other than in being F2P. It is the most boring Smash clone I have ever played. It has a ton of cool skins of characters that would be awesome in Smash, but that's just it, they have SKINS, there's only 1 fucking playable "character" in the whole game.

Is Nickelodeon (or their respective shows) being stingy with funding? I wish Game Mill would get more funding. There's so much potential for this to be massively successful. As of now, I think this will be a niche game reaching cult status.

It sounds like Nickelodeon is being extremely stingy and hands off. They want the team to meet certain requirements such as no costume without a basis from the show, but also want nothing to do with the title, providing it little funding. After it’s success, this dynamic seemed to change a bit, but who knows? There are talks of voice acting coming, and Nick did add voice acting to the Apple Arcade tennis game, but everything seems up in the air till it happens.

I actually stand by the fact that even with the change of words for Jenny’s inclusion, this will be a fun game to play with during the Summer Season. If anything, I wish they would add the characters from Rocket Power in here. (Though, if they did, I must have forgot about it. 😬)
