Smash players are extremely overprotective of their shitty IP carried game that experimentation is beyond them. Its a reason you see so many smash esports wannabe faggots never cross over into other games cause to them other games are either a threat or doesn't have "appealing" characters. They're too autistic to change to other games, spend hours trying to duplicate some pro player's Fox or Marth after watching a 2 hr tutorial, and ultimately in the end crash and burn into an autistic rage when some player knows what adapting is and 3 stocks them.

Seen it so many times. Playstation AS wasnt the greatest game, but I appreciate it trying something different, but it got written off during development by the average smash players, same for RoA Brawlhalla and Nick.

I still occasionally go to smash locals for kicks and its full of the same type of people every single time. Addicted players who dream of being the next Leffen Hungerbox or whatever and don't really engage in anything else beyond a week. Even if they play something else its always another big twitch game that they don't understand and they'll crawl back to smash near instantly cause they don't want to even attempt to feel out another game.

You can't please these people and they look down on any other game even if it gives them exactly what they asked for. They don't care about the genre at all and only want their Nintendo shit.

Innovation is beyond them and they react like the salem witch trials if anyone ever considers their game isn't 11/10 material

This extends well beyond smash though. This is just the Nintendo fandom in general.

You think any of them ever want to branch out from pokemon and want to try their hands at a Kiseki game or Tales? It's the same bullshit.

It happens to all big brands that got their foot in the door first. Nintendo is just the most infected.

Even indies are following to be the next quirk mother rpg or 60 min walking horror sim

I understand it doing what works is the safe bet, but you can't help but think that some years ago games tried some off the wall shit even if it didn't stick.

There will probably be more in the DLC, but apparently Nick is forcing the devs to only use Canon alts for the characters despite them already having alternative colors at the ready.

He’s ruining player’s lives, he’s making horrible tier decisions that are probably going to have a long lasting effect well after he leaves competitive, overall I would be a much happier person if we found a way to deport him for every position of tournaments he has ever had. You can’t even get mad at this stuff cause like- like if I got mad at this stuff I’d just be like- a very unhappy person all the time.”
 
Do any of you think you got a good value for the price? I think it's a little ridiculously overpriced for the game it's trying to be.
I'm not particularly interested in paying $50 to only play as Reptar.

It definitely needs more content to give me more reason to come back to it. Occasional couch play is nice and all, but I need something more.
