I can picture Nick Bate getting a kicking by people in his former community because he raped his younger sister.

In one of the Walmart pics, he's seen holding a piece of paper. I'm assuming that's a list (or me maybe reading something he got form the shelf). If he does have a phone, it maybe a gov't issued flip phone.

Does the government even issue flip phones anymore? At my last agency part of my job was helping clients obtained free phones from those government programs. No lie, the last batch of clients all got brand new iPhones because that's all that was available at the time. I mostly saw low-end Android phones but every phone was a smartphone of some variety.

Where they current generation? I have seen some phone companies donate new old stock devices to charrity as a write off as nobody really wants the last generation stuff and it looks pretty good to be giving away "luxury" items to the poor and needy.

I joked about someone wondering why Chris is still wearing the medallion in a different thread but then I actually got to wondering that myself. In jail and presumably now, Chris is under some sort of psychiatric care. Their goal isn’t to make their patients “normal” but I’m curious where they draw the line.

Also, people are assuming that a group home would want to keep residents inside as much as possible. The opposite may be true though. They aren’t the same thing, but homeless shelters make people leave each day and only return at night. It the stated goal is independence eventually, discouraging day trips would be counterproductive. That being said, the only places to wander are places that expect you to spend money while you’re there. That could get thorny quickly after Chris exhausts the tugboat on games and toys
