I'll admit I'm more familiar with the cartoons than the comics, but didn't Rogue normally flirt with Gambit too?
It's complicated. They're married now and Gambit hasn't been Gambit since then. He's Mr. Rogue. Rogue also flirts a lot with other guys. Gambit has never been "problematic". These guys are too sensitive and hate a hot dude.

Now that I think about it Doc Samson and Squirrel Girl seem like they're something MCU would use
Doc Sampson is, believe it or not, the guy Liv Tyler is dating and gets cucked as soon as Bruce shows up in Incredible Hulk (the Edward Norton one). He's played by the dad from Modern Fagmily.

If it's true... If...

Then, this proves Marvel now has ZERO confidence in their products. The fact we just had a F4 movie should mean they're the leads against Doom, yet they are bringing Cap. back. Some leaks also say he might be the leader of the teams against him, which is.. well, I don't care.

They're capitulating to niggerfaggot fatigue. By which I mean, they lost their USAID funding and now they have to make movies people actually want to see again if they want to make any money.

Might fuck with it. No strong feelings.

lmao

they spent the last five years trying to build the Falcon up as the new Captain America just to go "lol never mind"

I like macky, but I am A ok with cap coming back
As far as I can know, Mackie's a good guy, but he's definitely a supporting-character level of actor. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, either: he bounced off Cap and Winter Soldier very well every time they were on-screen together.

As for Falcon the character, he deserved a stint at being Cap as much as Bucky and others have in other adaptions and comics themselves and he got a genuinely snazzy-looking Cap costume. But the issue is like when Nightwing becomes Batman or whatever: Cap is Cap and Falcon ultimately isn't, he's the Falcon. The only time a successor in superhero media truly succeeded to the mantle was Wally West becoming Flash, and that took both years upon years of hard work and quality storytelling in the comics, and plenty of characterization in the top-tier DCAU, to pull off.

Besides the politics, the whole point of Cap is that he represents the USA military going face to face with the enemy, it's the whole reason he has a shield. Falcon at most represents the air force softening targets from far away before someone else goes face to face with the enemy.

And then in the end Barry was still the Flash anyway.

So they're trying to reclaim some of the positive responses they got from Cap/Tony conflict in Civil War. Doom is going to be some kind of alt-universe Tony Stark isn't he! They're also not going to be able to resist showing Doom's face continually in this, having hired RDJ for the role.

Almost everything about this is sounding bad:
  • Ancient X-Men actors
  • RDJ as Doom
  • Returning characters after they've already had their good and satisfying ending.
  • Connections to the really, really badly cast F4: First Steps movie.
I'm sure others can add to the list but that's a good start.

sooo... @el bandito loco, why did that one dude hate pedro pascal so much?
until you guys said something, I never really thought to ask what the deal was, but he has off handed been like nah Pedro Pascal is in it? not watching that to a couple of things I have mentioned over the last few years and specifically told me to find a camrip for F4 and we weren't going or at least he wasn't if we went the other weekend. So I asked him. his response was "fucc that white spic faggot". I guess I'll find out what its about tomorrow when we watch it, or maybe he'll just say that over and over the whole movie. Idk.

Of course it's going to be Tony. Probably the last surviving hero of his universe. Collecting heroes in their prime to help him fight against the real doom from a different multiverse who's been killing all dooms to become the ONE.

Statham and Jet Li make a cameo.

They're just reusing their kang movie plot.

We were spared from yet another totally forgettable show in the vein of Cloak & Dagger and Runaways, two Freeform MCU shows that nobody remembers.
i'm sure the clips on /tv/ would have been great. like wildcats.

plus from her voice acting on marvel rivals it seems she nailed the character.

I think the only thing that could redeem this movie would be if in the last scenes, with literally no build up or hints at all, the Nicholas Cage Ghost Rider roars in and Penance Stares Doom, saving the day.

Nicholas Cage then says "Doomsday comes when ah say it does" in a weird West Coast drawl and rides off.
