Got to disagree with Shang Chi being one of the worst,
It's a super regular-ass martial arts movie that uses CGI as a crutch. It should inflame no passion in either direction (except for rage at the annoying-voice she-chink), but I hate seeing people praise it as a great martial arts film. It's not. It's alrigth at most.

Wonder Man is such a deep cut into the Marvel universe that any fans he has are undoubtedly older white dudes.
I like Wonder Man. He's always been an interesting character to me with his origin as a desperate villain, his brother being a murdering piece of shit, his choice to kill himself while doing the right thing, and his use over the years as a punching bag, pacifist, bipolar lunatic. He's pretty much one of the many marvel Supermen, except he had a patina of Bruce Campbell about him as well.

This looks like what the MCU prides itself on being: a slap in the face to actual fans.

I'm thinking about this and... why are they even using someone like Wonder Man?
This isn't a brand, nobody knows who the fuck this character is.
You can make up some nigga and nobody will care honestly.
James Gunn makes up superheroes for his adaptations and nobody protests.

Goddamn it, we bought the IP and we are going to fucking milk it until the udder is cracked and peeling.

How about Gambit?
They have a new interest in the character after Deadpool 3.
Probably won't sell enough tickets as a movie unless you would scale the budget back which Disney doesn't know how to do.
A show could work though.

There are two theoretical Gambit movies:
1. One is a heist/scoundrel film where he's in New Orleans flirting with chicks and working for the thieves guild.
2. One is superhero slop with dozens of cameos and references to other films, and an overblown villain shooting a purple laser into the sky.

You know which one we would get in this, the worst of all possible worlds.

I'm not familiar with Gambit but I've been told he has James Bond/Mission Impossible style stories.
That could definitely work and it would bring men back.

The current X-Men comic run has Gambit as one of the protagonists and it sucks because the writer is Gail Simone and she sucks too.

Gambit is indeed a James Bond type of character and I don't trust anyone in modern marvel to write anything with him and not fuck it up. Seriously, unless Channing Tatum and Ryan Reynolds aren't involved, it would fail. RR knows his audience and Tatum is a super fan who knows the lore.

Modern Marvel hates Gambit due to his Pepé Le Pew-ish behavior. When I used to hear the Marvel podcast, Ryan Penagos would go out of his way to shit on Gambit and mention how much he hates him due to how much of a "problematic" character he is.

I'll admit I'm more familiar with the cartoons than the comics, but didn't Rogue normally flirt with Gambit too?

I'm amazed they haven't featured Squirrel Girl yet, considering how hard Marvel was pushing her in the comics a few years ago, and having already turned her into an ugly, obese inbred.
They did use Squirrel Girl already, in the never -released New Warriors pilot back around 2017.

AT&T spokesgirl Milana Vayntrub was cast as SQ, quite a bit different from the ugly, chubby depiction of the character at the time.

We were spared from yet another totally forgettable show in the vein of Cloak & Dagger and Runaways, two Freeform MCU shows that nobody remembers.
