Could be decent, but I wouldn't bet on him being the ONLY writer.
Looks like the one voicing Rogue says Charley Feldman is the other main writer.

I remember walking out of Endgame with my buddy and saying "that was great but that's as good as it'll get for superhero movies" and him arguing with me in the parking lot and by the end of the car ride home saying "yeah you're right", I think they should just focus on loosely adapting stories with their own continuity (like Logan) because screenwriters loathe comic books and expecting them to give a fuck and give proper treatment to extremely niche shit like Moon Knight is a lot to ask.

Oh yay

Her writing credits are fraggle rock, Jem, and what looks like the full fucking 1st season of Owl House.

Nothing that has a rep for being HORRIBLY bad but it does not inspire confidence. I would love to be wrong but I got bad vibes.

Wasn't sure if you were just spitballing or not, but apparently yeah 2016 was the first legal use of the term. It existed before then as early as 2001, but it really ramped up in the 2010's.
I'm going by where it was first used, back in 2012 or so. Legal uses need not apply.

Editing to add: so, who's the father of Jean's baby?:lit:

The live action film was dire but it doesn't look like she was involved with that but instead it appears to have been involved in some sort of fan film reacting to that movie.

Oh wait, did I say she. I meant;
CHARLEY FELDMAN (they/them) is a valley kid, the San Fernando one. There are a lot of valleys, technically. It’s a pretty common topographical feature…Anyways, Charley wrote their first script at seven years old, “Batman: The Funny Series,” about Batman’s efforts to save the world from anchovy pizza. They recognize that this was when they peaked as a writer, but they persevere. Charley lives in Los Angeles with Debbie Hairy the dog, and a cat called Gilda Radner.

Guess we know why Morph's pronouns changed now.

My favorite part of Xmen '97 when Morph said "It's morphin' time", and then 'morphed' all over both a guy and a girl because he is non-binary.

The show is called X-Men '97...and it's written like every other show made in 2024. Though the animation looks sort of stiff, and puts me in mind of the original's last few seasons where they outsourced the animation to some cheapo outfit in the Phillipines or somewhere, I think.

Also, is it just me or is "nonbinary shapeshifter" is starting to become a weird cape trope onto itself.

Ah, we are already in the "it's not for you sweetie, don't watch it bigot" phase of the disaster. Never change current year.
Im getting he-man vibes and that saddens me. The voices they got actually sound good. Ray chase is legit bringing it.
I have too much nostalgia for the original voices, Logan and Rogue not having that raspy as hell voice and the southern belle accent already threw me off a lot
For me a "devout christian" would be someone that has a sincere belief/ love of Jesus. Even if it's private. Not the bombastic, but ultimately shallow Mega church pastor types that make a big deal of their religion for show.
For me a devout is go to church on Sundays regularly sort of deal. Logan is at most a 90s Christian which is "I believe there is a god and I like the concept of Jesus, but I only give a shit when I need something". So no, Logan is not a devout Christian.
At best you can argue maybe devout is not accurate ( which I disagree). But the christian part definitely is.
This I can agree with.
Yeah and jeans preggers. I can see all the death flags.
I'm so eager to see her be super strong and independent and powerful and empowered fighting sentinels 6 months in! I'm sure hormonal imbalance from pregnancy would have 0 effect on a Telekinetic/Telepath!
Deadpool is a character that works best with small dosages because too much overexposure you will eventually reach into the "I get it" territory when the jokes just because predictable.
I remember reading some of his comic books and finding them funny, but it's not something I ever fell in love with.
I've heard rumblings Magneto in whatever movie reboot will be updated to be a victim of some other genocide so that he won't be 100 years old and so he can be some other race.
SOUTH AFRICAN KANGNETO! MAKE IT HAPPEN!
I technically have no problem with Morph being “non-binary” insofar as anyone who can change their entire body is kind of “non-binary” by definition, but is Mystique going to get the same treatment or is she still a Strong Woman?
You fucking should. This shit is set in 1997, non binary is made up shit from 10-20 years later. Never give a fucking inch to these creatively bankrupt faggots, that's how we ended with the nigger mermaid and spic white.
Wonder how they are going to deal with Gambit if they are in a PC mood.
He'll be a respectful gentleman that cooks and cleans yet is sexy and romantic juuuuuust in the right way! Or he will be a giga rapist and emmasculated. "Sorry Remi, I could forgive you for working with Sinister to genocide the morlocks, but I can never forgive that time you kissed me without my consent! (and yes, I liked it, but that's not the point)".
When the fuck did they bring Fraggle Rock back? I will say the concept of a bunch homosexual muppets living in your walls just adds to the already horrific concept of Fraggle Rock.

I really do not want to know about this.

Bishop!

That's the worst part, 97 only means they'll make jokes about fucking VCRs and the animation just looks very choppy.

Fun fact: Wolverine is a devout Christian in this universe. Who wants to bet they made an episode with him becoming an atheist and denouncing God?

Because of course. The only good religion is wokeness, and “the message” is the only gospel allowed. There’s is no way they are going to respect that Kind of diversity.
I always took the scene & episode as Nightcrawler being the devout Christian (no shit) and Wolverine finding his faith again thanks to Kurt, but to each their own.

That’s exactly what I thought of it too. I suppose I forgot that for me “devotion” is more about genuine love to God, because I am used to fake Christian’s that only do rituals for show.

But I suppose that for some people “devotion” means going to church every Sunday and praying every 5 minutes even if it’s not plot relevant. To each their own indeed.

I see @SherlockMexicano is a stupidly autistic guy that has never interacted with an actual devout Christian in his life. Devout Christians aren't constantly humping the bible, but you know they live according to their fate when you interact with them enough. The vast majority of people in the west I would never file as devout Christians.

This remake, Loki tv series, that She-Ra cartoon are all recent examples but don't know many more.

Not certain if there's other examples I am missing since shapeshifters aren't ludicrously common but it's definitely on the rise. I'd be unsurprised if they made Mystique into a "they" in the comics but last I saw of those they had just made her the father of her son instead.

Them all dressing like absolute retards is the only thing that makes 1997 be relevant as a setting

I'm guessing this was in the middle of some sort of sports contest. Pregnant Jean in a ref outfit, Gambit, Beast and Wolverine playing skins vs Cylcops, Jubilee and Morph as shirts. Not certain which side Storm, Bishop and Rogue are meant to be on.

The fact that Bishop and Storm have both raided Mr Motivator's wardrobe though is hilarious.

also whenever they reboot in a movie unless the landscape of western media sees any real change by then (or Disney thinks they can get China bucks again in any major way) I think it's almost a guarantee Xavier & Magneto no matter what their backstories are explicitly ex-lovers. not any maybe they were a little homo subtext they will be gay.
