Basically. We might be over the peak for the MCU, but it's not stopping movies like GOTG3 and BPWF from doing well. Your mileage may vary, obviously, but no one was "tired" when it came to them. The MCU needs a shake-up and it's at least getting that on the TV side of things, but the movie side is yet to catch up.
Kamala Khan is a total superhero nerd who writes Avenger's fanfic online from her bedroom. She wouldn't just know who Carol was, she'd tell you every last thing about her. And then start on who she liked shipping Carol with the most.
You're right, that's her origin in the comic. The MCU obviously didn't plan ahead for her so they kind of have to imply a lot of the setup for Kamala's character.
Well I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't comment on that. But they certainly put the leg work in to establish that in the TV show. The opening is quite literally Kamala creating art of Carol and we see her sperging about this stuff a lot and going to these Avengers themed parties. Honestly, I know I go on about it a bit but off all the MCU spin-offs, I think this show is my favourite. Unless you count later seasons of Agents of Shield but that's not really canon or part of the same set and the earlier seasons were bad.

Only if you're actively trying to capitalize on it (Antman was arguably the most instrumental part of saving everybody and he would have still been a 'literally who?' if he didn't make a book about it), otherwise no, you're not getting a fanbase on just having your name included because the people know absolutely nothing about you. People are gonna be focused on the Avengers they recognise or Tony Stark's death. All of Carol's activities are, as far as the MCU has told us, out of the public eye and in space and she's not exactly characterised as someone who's going on a press tour to tell her story.
I think it's a shit no-prize answer, but it seems because of the footage and press coverage of the Endgame battle, everyone who was in it became a celebrity, as you can see in the Miss Marvel show there's people cosplaying fucking Drax and selling Groot merchandise, and we know the Guardians fucked off of Earth even faster than Carol so there were fewer chances for them to become well-known outside of the battle.

Actually no. You can make a case for that in marvel comics but the superheroes in the MCU don't go evil or willfully hurt the populace that much. At its worst, it's like being a Britney Spears fan during 2007.
