I think we can already write The Marvels off as a failure. So the only film this year that could top is Guardians however it is on conditions.
a) cope
b) people going and not seeing it stream instead. The streaming factor changes a lot and it comes out in a period where in a lot of countries like Europe where younger people are revising.
They should have done a summer release for this film, May is a shit period. I looked at their next year and it looks like a mess with only one possible release being Captain America: New World Order.
We know nothing about Thunderbolts and nothing set-wise yet when it should have begun filming and should nearly be done. Blade might not see release because the film has had a lot of departures and 2 major rewrites. The first was literally Blades's daughter being the hybrid like in Underworld. The second script Ali hated, in fact, he hated both as the second had 2 action scenes.
Cap New Order will bomb really hard, the synopsis is pretty much - no one accepts black superheroes. Nigga Blade was killing cracker vampires in 1998. If Blade was unsuccessful then we would not even have the hero genre we have now. It sounds ultra-political and just awful.
Disney must be shitting itself because we have had 5 things in a row bomb and Guardians could bomb. Bare in mind Guardians 2 only grossed 838 million which is far lower than I thought and considering new costs including marketing Guardians 3 will probably be about 350 million.
