Ultimately, I think it goes to the old adage, "you need to know the rules in order to break them."
Jessica Gao isn't smart enough or experienced enough to run a show like She-Hulk. She just doesn't grasp the fundamental rules of writing plot, character and jokes. The whole thing feels sloppy (like most Disney+ shows, but I digress), so when she finally gets around to her fourth wall breaking episode, it doesn't feel earned or satisfying in any way.
If the show was really leading up to that, ideally they would have introduced the writers in an earlier episode. Maybe make the whole IP plot about the writers adapting Jennifer's story for a television show. The writers air a show dramatizing a court case She-Hulk's currently arguing. She-Hulk confronts them and does her dumb She-Hulk thing. She storms out. In subsequent episodes, everything starts going to shit in her life, culminating in a no-win situation in the finale. She-Hulk suddenly thinks to herself, "wait a minute..." and goes and confronts the writers. It turns out everything after when She-Hulk confronted the writers was their dramatization and in reality She-Hulk's life has been going pretty well for the past four episodes. Reset the back half of the season, new norm for season 2.
Its not great, but, you know, it actually lays the groundwork for breaking the fourth wall in the finale so it doesn't feel like a lazy asspull.
And for those who say you can't break the fourth wall on television, I just want to remind you that House of Cards did it brilliantly in its first two seasons:

HoC is only one recent example. Then there is non-linear story telling, expressionism. I'm fine with doing something creative.
I'm not fine with garbage. This thing is on par with the shit DC pumped out like BoP or whatever but you won't hear a tenth of the criticism. It's literal, narrative garbage. It doesn't have a story, a plot. It's aimless scenes strung together and the scenes themselves are poorly structured.
This is one of the worst, most technically flawed superhero whatevers in the last decade and nothing outside of boring YT culture warz bullshit will tongue lash them for.
You know it's bad when people would rather watch Steel or Batman & Robin. They're shitty films, but at least you can laugh at them. She-Hulk and Thor 4 are chores to watch clips of, let alone the whole thing.
Hemsworth and Portman delivered, and nothing else. Thor 4 is only watchable in those scenes and just barely.
She-hulk, at points veers into so bad its good. It's hard not to watch something like the twerking thing or horrible CGIhulk and not laugh, albeit for the wrong reasons.
If anything, I feel bad for Jamil and Tim Roth. Did they not chew up scenery? Titania was so offensively off brand it was glorious. But I can't complain about the actress like I could certain others....(Maslany, Gonzaga, Rufallo).
