I finally bought myself a lip oil, since they are all the rage right now. I bought an e.l.f. one, since those appear to be one of the most popular (and affordable) ones.

I ... I don't get it? It's a ridiculously sheer lip gloss that is EVERY bit as sticky as a sticky lip gloss. If it gives no color despite looking vibrant in the tube, I'd rather just wear a tinted lip balm that doesn't feel sticky? There's nothing oily about this lip oil. It's not what I've been told that it is, and I just feel like I wasted some money, lol.

I have large breast and i want a bra who can make it look smaller or at least contain them so i can exercise.
What kind of exercise?
I ask because big booba have different needs. The general advice of "high impact to reduce bust size" is actually pretty bad for the same reason wearing a binder is a bad idea. You want to prevent movement, sure, but you actually want LESS compression if you're doing something like weightlifting so your muscles grow right.
DM me if you want more info.

Are some people just not meant to wear bronzer? Is it all a big scam? I've never been able to figure that shit out. I'm pale, very cool toned, pink undertones (although when I'm wearing my good colors I just look ghost-white not weirdly porcine), some kind of winter - deep or cool. I feel like my face doesn't handle having a lot of colors on it very well...? Whenever I try to use it I just end up looking dirty or weirdly grey and discoloured, not sunkissed or whatever. I've tried some cool toned bronzer but nothing looks right.

I have a similar complexion and I have found some that look good but I have to be very very particular with the color and placement. Anything with an orange hint looks like dirt on me (even the ones labeled cool toned often look orange to me). It needs to be more of a chestnut brown but it also can’t be too dark (the one I use is the Pacifica Bronzed Rose duo but unfortunately I don’t think they make it anymore. But if you can find a picture of it I think the shade is a good reference pic attached).

I only apply it very slightly with a contour brush just under the high cheekbone by my hairline (do not bring it all the way down the crease to the cheeks), and under my jawline. Then blend softly without spreading it all over.

It can make you look snatched but it’s also very easy to overdo it when you’re pale because of the contrast.

Thanks! I'm not sure if I can get this brand where I live but I'll look around, or maybe look for something similar. I'll give your technique a shot. I need to stop doing the bronzer on forehead thing too, it looks comical.

I somehow managed to grab the ONLY brown mascara they had at the store, and it was really hidden deep inside the rack. Colored mascara is really hard to find here for some reason

Maybe it depends on the brand? I've been trying many lip oils and they all seem to have different formulas. The worst ones I've tried so far are the Nyx ones, they are pretty pigmented but they feel way too heavy on the lips, and they're drying on me for some reason. Meanwhile this other super cheap one I got today actually feels like oil, it's really light and it's NOT STICKY AT ALL!

Sure it's almost transparent when applied but my lips are already very pink so no big deal.

I'm pale. Always have been, always will be. I'm incapable of tanning too (my Irish genes decided to dominate there, lol).

I've tried the bronzing and contour thing ... But I hate how it looks on me; makes me feel like I'm putting mud on my face or something.

I just don't think bronzing works for us pale chicks, lol.

Based on what so many people have said about lip oils, they're supposed to be "nourishing" for your lips, and they're supposed to be thinner and not sticky.

The e.l.f. one I got is one of the goopiest lip glosses I've *ever* used (and supposedly it's not supposed to be like a gloss). And it felt drying on my lips too. Just a weird product where I have to throw up my arms and ask, "What is the point of this?" I feel like I got catfished. lol.

Like ... MAC lipglasses feel less goopy and sticky on my lips, and MAC lipglasses have the reputation of being the goopiest glosses ever.

My lips are unfortunately not that pigmented, so I prefer to have some color to make myself look more alive when I'm out and about. Entirely sheer/clear lipgloss just looks weird on me.

Interesting to know that there's different consistencies out there ... But maybe lip oils just aren't for me.

EDIT: I should also add that I am definitely more of a lipstick girl (and I like wearing bold reds a lot of the time, admittedly). I don't wear lipgloss that often anymore. I was hoping that the lip oil would just be an easy and breezy light wash of color while also operating similarly to a lip balm, and that's not what I got.

Does anybody use Korean/Japanese makeup?? Specifically foundation or concealer and can recommend any? I keep seeing videos of how smooth and blurring the application looks and it looks so good.

It's not the image, it's that this is the cover of this year's september issue of Vogue, which is the most important issue of the year. There's a documentary about how important it is in the fashion world, called 'the September issue', so people who subscribe to Vogue wait all year for it, and they have hundreds of thousands of subscribers, maybe even millions. The whole shoot is just kind of a price listing for the jewellery, and not at all what people were expecting when it was originally promoted.

'Hitchcock inspired cat burglar photoshoot with Blake Lively, by Baz Luhrman':
- Baz Luhrman is the director of Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge, the Great Gatsby: high drama, camp, bright colours

- Blake Lively says she doesn't use a stylist but is known for doing really dramatic looks at high-profile events like the Met Gala:

- Hitchcock's film to Catch a Thief, about a retired cat burglar (Carey Grant) who falls in love with the daughter of a wealthy family (Grace Kelly).

This photoshoot: boring as shit, ugly. All of the ingredients are iconic and the result is that.

Blake Lively is kind of boring tbh. Her met gala looks are great, but it's the dress you're looking at, not her. I couldn't even name a movie or show that I've seen her in. She's beautiful but she has no charisma, she's like a fancy mannequin. The Vogue cover is boring because she's boring. There's no flashy costume, no interesting detail. It's just her in a standard balck dress making a dull surprise face with blurry Jackman in the background.

For the first time in a bit, I actually put make up on.....

e.l.f concealer is pretty damn fucking good, ended up mixing with the BB cream as it was coming up dark and I'm very pale... But it covered the colour imperfections up perfectly.

Got a stick blush thing and that's pretty much the perfect colour, along with light eyeshadow and a hint of mascara. I like to go natural over trowel coat

For everyday wear, search for minimizer bras. They contain things and make you look less disproportionate. The old-school trick for playing sports was wearing two sports bras at once, but I have no idea if that was actually a healthy thing to do (worked well enough, though, which is what mattered when you were on the field). As with all things bra-related, it's harder to find options when you've got an overall small frame but a disproportionately large chest.

A question: does anyone have a mascara recommendation for sensitive eyes? I've always had rotten allergies, and mascara has started to really irritate my eyes and cause problems. It's more of a sensitivity than an actual allergy, I imagine, but the red, watery, itchy eyes aren't enjoyable or flattering. I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations or advice about what to avoid. I'd been using Benefit They're Real for years, but even that has started to bug me recently.

K-beauty brand LUNA is known for their concealer - I like it because it's not super thick so it's comfortable to wear. I'd have a look at Etude (larger shade range) and The Saem too.

A lot of the advertising videos can be misleading though. If you have a product in mind, watch some YouTube videos of people testing them before taking the plunge. I am most picky about foundation and concealer since my skin is sensitive. Generally, the idea is enhancing your natural beauty so I wouldn't think there's much selection in the high coverage department.

Had some thrift shopping and general clothes shopping W's this week.

Considering my personal style, it's hard for me to find maternity clothes that I like. Well, I finally found some Fall-friendly dresses that actually reflect my personal style that are also baby bump friendly (as well as post-bump friendly). I'm stoked.

I also thrifted a London Fog trenchcoat that's a mix between a forest green and an army green color. It's the prettiest coat I've ever seen, and I almost squealed when I saw that it was my size. I also thrifted a pair of almost new-looking gladiator sandals that look exactly like the ones Audrey Hepburn wore in Roman Holiday. I've been hoping to find sandals like that for ages. Will be wearing those for the rest of the Summer, kthx.

WTF, I'm actually going to feel cute and "put together" this Fall. Between this and the spectacular Halloween decorations my husband and I bought this month, I'm kind of ready for Summer to be over and done with now (which is crazy because I love Summertime).

Sorry for the double post, but this is more of a makeup post.

I ran an errand to ULTA today to restock on my First Aid Beauty moisturizer I love so much. I ended up doing some browsing for makeup, and some things caught my eye, but I didn't quite take the plunge to buy most of it because I want to know if the products are actually worth it or not.

First off, I saw that MAC is now at ULTA (yes, I'm slow on the makeup news). MAC's lip products used to be my favorite because of their vast color selection and reasonable price range.

I didn't buy any lipsticks because holy shit, their prices have literally doubled in recent years (can you tell it's been a minute since I purchased anything from MAC?). Almost $30 for a lipstick now?! Ruby Woo and Lady Danger ... You are beautiful colors, but GTFOutta here with that price. I can live without.

I've been on the hunt for a good cream blush recently, and I stumbled upon these rose-shaped Winky Lux ones. Goodness, they're so pretty and cute ... But for $20, I need to make sure they're actually worth it. Anyone know if they're good?
