Does anyone else here like to see? I do, but I’m kinda rusty on using a machine and I’m not too sure how to do without a pattern :(
So far I’ve repaired all the acolytes’ robes at church (replacing buttons, re-stitching the buttonholes, putting back popped seams.) I have a lot of nice cotton fabric, I’m gonna make a little baby dress today (or try to.)

Any suggestions for easy projects for a beginner?

Me! I suggest you to download a free sewing patterns PDF. There are a tons for beginners. When I started sewing I made a very simple skirt and a dress for a doll. But before I praticed with the sewing machine hemming trousers ect, a lot
Without a pattern is very hard.

I personally love using my ocular organs to peek at random shit like baby pigeons and guitar frets, but for those of us who don't have this affinity... may I suggest living most of your life in pitch blackness? Blackout blinds and eyepatches will certainly come in handy for a condition like this, and renovating the drapery will be a fun-filled activity for the whole family! Lots of other sensory benefits too, now that I think about it.

The steriotypical beginners project is PJ pants which will often be called "lounge pants" because PJs have to meet certain fire ratings to be sold as such. The fabric is cheap and easy to work with (generally whatever type of fleece you fancy) and the sewing is straightforward.

Pillowcases are another good one. As is tote bags.

I just started sewing about a year and a half ago and am still very much a beginner but some projects I have loved doing are zipper pouches, pillow cases, and tote bags. If you go on YouTube or Pinterest you can find instructions pretty easy and these projects typically do not need a sewing pattern!

If you're wanting to branch out into sewing more clothing, I recommend starting with simple stuff like an apron, pajama pants/shorts, and some simple dresses as well. Patterns can be intimidating but YouTube is your friend! If your ever confused literally just search the thing your making on YouTube and someone has made a tutorial I promise!!

Scrub tops go really quickly; basically like doll clothing sized up. They're also an excuse to buy fun prints. The downside is that they're very obviously scrub tops.

Men will just check out of their relationships entirely, put in zero effort, not even on her birthday and then act shocked when she dumps him one day and pretend it "came out of nowhere". Women remember all of these little times that you didn't treat her right and were lazy and the resentment builds over the years until it's divorce/break-up time.
Thank you everyone for the suggestions!

I am going to try making a kimono top (I forget what these are called in Japanese... it's like a kimono, but shorter, and you wear it like a light jacket.) I ordered some navy linen fabric for that. And maybe I can make a dress for the baby too.

Any ideas why my face mask says "Consult with a doctor if pregnant or lactating?" I'm not using it if it turns the friggin' frogs gay. Is it maybe because of essential oils/unknown absorption rates? Or is something in this a known endocrine disrupter?

Mi-el Honey Infused Hydration Mask

Sorry for the late replay. I think that one of the reason is Hyaluronic Acid, and Ethylhexylglycerin. Even some essential oils are not recommended during pregnancy and lactating.

I made a great discovery that needs checking: seems like light-coloured mascara (mine was neon pink) helps against sun glare a bit.
Wanna see people test it. Maybe try those white mascaras, as well.
I only have 2.

Asking for a woman in my life: any brick and mortar stores carry womens pants in tall sizes? Apparently JC Penny used to but don't anymore.

Free People's flare pants are sold long as hell, you're supposed to trim them to fit your height. But then you're wearing giant ass flare pants.

For me, not a problem. For others, maybe.

They had Tall lady pants at Kohl's the last time I went, a couple of months ago.

In case you are also an old person, I keep forgetting about the Internet: most big stores have the "in store now" search option on their website. If you're looking for a specific size pants, a specific color of bedsheet, or the new limited edition soda flavor, check the local box stores' websites. Pick a location and "at my store/in store now," and save yourself some hassle. Even if you're in a time crunch the research is more efficient than driving around fruitlessly.

Doublepost and necro: did anyone ever try that L'Oreal One Sweep eye shadow? I remember seeing ads for it when it came out... fifteen years ago?

Second question: if so, did it work as described? Makeup is magical but I always wondered if it was more of a plaid paint situation.

I remember having something similar when I was a teenager. Yes, you will get multicoloured streaks but they'll probably be uneven and won't fit the shape of your eye very well.

Those rainbow highlighters that were trendy for 15 minutes a few years ago seem to be a better application of the idea because they're supposed to be sheer, but they still look bad on most people.

No idea about those but they remind me of those gradient korean two toned lipsticks lol
sponge nail gradient tutorials.
So nostalgic omfg. and the tutorials with the newspaper cut out designs too

also, if anybody is searching for a pale brown actually cool toned lipliner that isn’t pink nor yellow/orange, I recommend Kiko’s smart fusion lip pencil in the shade 36 Cold Brown. It’s 4 bucks, pretty cheap compared to other brands and performs great. i had been on the search for one that wasn’t MAC or Makeup forever type of expensive and im really happy I found this one, I’ve been using it a lot.

ive never been to big on lipliner on myself but a pale tone like that is great if you want to use a lipstick that pulls too warm, it makes it a lot more cohesive without being dramatic.

Kiko's lip pencils and lipsticks are my favorite. They are not too expensive and are very good products.
I tried that shade and I like it a lot, but I look weird. I'm very pale and I looked like a zombie : (

So many memories <3 I used it a long time ago when it was cool very very light blue shade. But I preferred the Clinique's one.

Yall I finally got my first decent quality bra that fits my unusual proportions. I got 2 of them. One is hideous yet the most supportive bra I have ever worn, the other is not as hideous but fits almost just as perfectly- enough that I am still ecstatic. How do I take care of them? Ive been compression bra only for years but my best ones finally started disintigrating. I was washing them with my normal clothes and hanging them to dry. But with higher quality and underwire, and the very real chance that I wont find this type of bra for under 100 dollars ever again, how can I make sure the shape holds and they dont loose their structure when washing and drying?

People are always going to recommend handwashing, but personally I always put bras in the actual washer, because they're where the sweat goes.

Upgrading your lingerie bag to something formed is a good idea:

However, one thing about formed plastic lingerie washers: they usually snap closed, and this snap is very unreliable. Use twist-ties to secure the BRA CAGE.

I wouldn't put anything that relies on elastic in the dryer, though. I hang my bras to dry from a pants hanger, but use the clips to dry it upside down, so it's not sagging on the straps.
