Crap, I liked both of those worlds, oh well. I hope they give both La Cite Des Cloches and the Fantasia world another chance. DDD did a horrible job on both of them in terms of potential. Just imagine the awesome things they can do with the Fantasia world in KH3.

So previous maps are cut. This does not discredit new areas for old worlds however, so worlds like Fantasia could potentially be given a fair chance on something better than a 3DS.

Hopefully atlantica has been cut as well.

They tried twice now they should end this nightmare.

On another note how would you guys react to a frozen world.

I suddenly decided I want to make this, well I have for a while but something snapped in me after drinking a bunch of Red Bull, so:
Kingdom Hearts Story in a nutshell
(In chronological story order, not by release date)
xMWmgMI.png
Kingdom Hearts χ [chi]
Some MMO faggotry that takes place in a magical pre-darkness era called the Age of Fairy Tales. Everyone and their grandmother has a keyblade because they're freely made and distributed at the time, but the keyblade's powers get to some people's heads and they get greedy so darkness is born. Basically people are trying to create the χ-blade and take over the world in an event known as the Keyblade War. This war eventually splits the unified world into fragments among darkness, only lit by the light in the hearts of children. That's how the Disney worlds were created according to a legend in the series.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep

This takes place 10 years before the original game. Master Xehanort extracts darkness from Ventus to make a dark clone and tries to turn Terra to the dark side. The Unversed attack Disney worlds so the OG main trio - Terra, Aqua, and Ventus - have to go across Disney worlds in separate ways to stop them. Terra acts like an asshole and blames autism the darkness, Ventus falls asleep a lot for some reason, and Aqua's trying to bring Ventus home. Ventus and his dark clone eventually clash and form an incomplete χ-blade, which exposes Kingdom Hearts. Xehanort succeeds at taking over Terra's body but the incomplete χ-blade is destroyed by Aqua, and Aqua later tries to save Terra but gets trapped in the realm of darkness. Ventus is in a coma due to having his heart shattered with the χ-blade; he's currently resting at the center of Castle Oblivion, for like 12 years somehow.

Kingdom Hearts

Sora, Riku, and Kairi are best friends on Destiny Islands. They go through a tutorial level of building a raft for two days, then their world is attacked and destroyed by Darkness. Riku turns evil and tries to fuck Kairi while she's in a coma, and Sora has a keyblade. Sora meets Dolan and Gooby who want to find the King, who told them to stick with the dude with a keyblade, so they tag along for adventures across a bunch of different Disney worlds. It turns out that Riku was supposed to get the keyblade but it rejected him because darkness so it went to Sora, Riku steals it and forces Sora to fight with a wooden sword for like half of Hollow Bastion. Riku turns out to have been targeted as a vessel for Xehanort's heartless, named Ansem. Sora then fights Ansem at Hollow Bastion, then chases him to End of the World, Ansem turns into a huge flying battleship, then Sora asplodes him and seals the door to the realm of darkness with the help of Riku and MICKEY FUCKING MOUSE.

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories

Sora, Dolan, and Gooby have just saved the world, but their quest to find Mickey (and Riku) is not over yet. They come across Castle Oblivion, hoping to find their friends, but come across cloaked people who are using the Castle's magical card properties and Namine's memory powers to catfish Sora into giving them his keyblade. The ringleader of that operation turns out to be Marluxia, who wants the keyblade to take over the Organization, then he fights Sora to the death, Sora wins as always. After that you unlock Riku, who is in the basement with Mickey somehow and Riku's fighting Ansem to tame his darkness or something.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

Some autist zombie named Roxas joins the black coats and does missions for them. He make two friends for the year he's with them, and they eat ice cream together for a while. The game starts 7 days after Sora stabbed himself, going into Axel's operations during Chain of Memories. However this is placed after CoM because Axel returns after about 50 days and the rest of the game takes place after. Later on the Organization bullies Xion, then programs her to try to kill Roxas. Roxas is forced to kill her, which wipes her from the entirety of existence. He tries to get revenge but Riku turns into Ansem and KOs him, placing him in the matrix for 7 days. This begins Kingdom Hearts II's events.

Kingdom Hearts II

Rocksack wakes up in the longest tutorial level known to man. After the tutorial, Sora's story begins and they have to save more Disney worlds from the Heartless and the Organization. Hollow Bastion is being restored by the good guys but eventually gets attacked by over 9000 Heartless. Sora eventually merges with Roxas, they learn that Ansem is actually Xehanort's Heartless, while Xehanort's Nobody is the leader of the black coat circlejerk. The real Ansem was actually DiZ, who wanted revenge on Xehanort. They kill off the rest of the Organization and rescue Kairi.

Kingdom Hearts coded

Jiminy Cricket's journal is fucked up by Namine, and uploading it to Mickey's computer gives it viruses coming out the ass, so Chip and Dale program a data-Sora into the computer to murder all the viruses. Namine also explains about some "suffering" of other people to data-Sora, which are actually Aqua, Ventus, Terra, Roxas, and Xion, all connected to Sora. Who the fuck cares? It's just filler.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

After taking a lot of shit from inkblot demons, sociopaths in black robes, and Disney villians, Sora and Riku have to forget everything they learned and do some test in a dream world. Little do they know that Master Xehanort is following them by tracking Sora, seeking to corrupt him and turn him into a vessel. After the exam is completed, Sora follows the dream in World That Never Was too deeply and sinks into Darkness, almost becoming a Xehanort vessel. Riku saves his dumb ass and ends up being the one who's labelled as Keyblade Master.

Kingdom Hearts III

This is all speculation based on what I remember from various sources, but supposedly Aqua, Terra, Ventus, and maybe Roxas will return somehow, and Xehanort will try to start another Keyblade War. Also there will be many new worlds and there's a theory that the game will revolve around a book that can change the future of worlds. Also Xehanort just might win again, because if Xehanort loses then the franchise gets boring. Anyway, if my post didn't make any sense of the games' story, then KHIII potentially will.

Edit: In my infinite wisdom and Red Bull supply, I decided I should write a brief description of the types of enemies that decided Disney worlds are profitable to invade.

A Bestiary of Autism Most Wondrous And Foul
HfTWhKFt.png
Heartless

These inkblot motherfuckers with glowing yellow eyes are objectively the most prominent enemy in the Kingdom Hearts universe, to the point that they first appear during the first Keyblade War. Despite the name, they are not people without hearts - they're manifestations of the darkness of people's hearts, each one created by a person succumbing to their own inner darkness. They're named Heartless because darkness obscures their hearts so much, they act in a manner that seems 'heartless'. The stronger said person's heart is, the more monstrous that Heartless becomes.
In a sense, you could say they're like zombies, but they move more quickly and seem to act in a combination of instinct and intelligence much like insects (so they're zombie insects?). They could possibly be based on demons of some religion - most likely Christianity (so zombie demon insects?) You'd better get used to the yellow-eyed silhouette monsters, because due to how they're created, the only way to get rid of them for good is to eliminate all evil and darkness from the universe, which is pretty much impossible.

84sbm1Gt.png
Nobodies

Nobodies, making their debut as cloaked bosses in Chain of Memories and then as grey BDSM looking monsters in II, are the literal opposite of a Heartless, or the leftover body of a person who's succumbed to darkness. And again the name doesn't make sense at first glance because why would a leftover body be called a nobody? The simple answer is that Nobodies are not supposed to exist, or lack the heart needed to completely exist, and represent nothingness.

Nobodies and the Organization that controls them have become a prominent enemy in KH since the events of Chain of Memories, with the original Organization XIII ultimately dissipating at the end of Kingdom Hearts II. Their nature is the opposite of Heartless - while Heartless act on instinct and impulse, Nobodies and their Organization are methodical and calculating in their actions. While Heartless become more monstrous with stronger hearts, weak-spirited Nobodies are deformed creatures that only serve their masters, while strong-willed Nobodies are more humanoid. Thirteen humanoid nobodies, including Xehanort's Nobody Xemnas, formed the original Organization XIII, and their names are formed from an anagram of their original persona's names with an added 'x' to symbolize Xehanort's Sigil of the Recusant.

The Nobodies were designed as a grey area to the Didney archetypes of light and darkness, each member had their own motive for being with the Organization, whether benign or malicious, but ultimately these Nobodies were to be little more than Xehanort vessels - a plan that would take another form in KH3D.

Also notice that pattern of using insults for enemy names - first Heartless derived from a term for someone who's such a massive asshat that it seems like they lack a heart, then Nobody derived from the word for a person that one couldn't care less about. They might as well call the next enemy type they make "Sperglords" or something.

XzWXBnxt.png
Unversed

Put simply, Unversed are manifestations of negative emotions, appearing only in Birth by Sleep because nothing else could have been a threat back then. They're like edgier Heartless that Vanitas spawns from not only his own dark emotions, but apparently those of the various assholes you encounter in Disney worlds.

cY4ZRGct.png
Dream Eaters
PfZE48vt.png

Dream Eaters are Pokemon/Heartless crossbreeds made for the dream realm, because no other enemies can access the dream worlds. They can either be allies (Spirit) or enemies (Nightmare), signified by which version of their symbol they use. The peach-colored curved symbol represents Spirits, and the dark blue edgy symbol represents Nightmares. Also Riku's a Spirit Dream Eater in the dream worlds for some reason, probably a plot device so he can save Sora from the nightmare.

W42A33yt.png
Sentiment/Walking Heart

Sentiments and Walking Hearts are not necessarily enemies, or even common to KH. A Sentiment is the leftover mind of a Keyblade Wielder - the most prominent of which is Terra's Lingering Will. A Walking Heart is what Sora became when Kairi saved him from being a Heartless.

eYF0gz4t.png
Disney Villians
Mv5VdH1t.png

Of fucking COURSE the Disney Villains will be up to no good in a Disney crossover game. These jerks are trying to use the Heartless for their own purposes whenever they can. In the first game, you could see them chatting together in some meeting room about how they were going to take the Princesses of Heart and impede Sora's progress with the Heartless. And probably take the Keyblade for themselves. Maleficent acted as a de facto leader for them in KH1 and probably still does.

Sm0uwbDt.png
Sephiroth

-Sephiroth is his own category because he's the only Final Fantasy villain to ever appear in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. If you've been to Platinum Match in Olympus Coliseum, or played far enough in Kingdom Hearts II, you probably know that his boss fight is notoriously difficult. He's the main antagonist in FF7, where he was a revered warrior but then goes insane, kills people, and tries to become a god after he discovers that he's cloned from an ayylien named Jenova (for those who don't know a thing about FF). In KH, he represents Cloud's inner darkness and shows a fascination with Sora's Keyblade. However, he only really seems to be after Cloud and probably sees Sora as an annoying little pipsqueak in his way.

On another note how would you guys react to a frozen world.
I could see quite a few people just nopeing out of the game if they had to sing "Let It Go" for a minigame.

Edit:
Huh, I just came across these new gameplay videos for Kingdom Hearts chi.

"Darkness is not an end, only a beginning." -Master Xehanort

KH3's release would result in a massive spergfest from me if I had a next-gen console.

I'm perfectly okay with Halloween Town getting the axe. They've really done everything they can with The Nightmare Before Christmas in KH and if they were to bring it back then it would just be overstaying its welcome.

I want the Symphony of Sorcery back. I was really pissed off when they stuck Dineys best movie on the 3ds. Put the world based on the movie that's entirely about stunning visuals complimenting the music on the system with lacking visuals. Oh well, maybe we'll get Fantasia 2000 in 3. They better cut out the flamingoes and Noah's ark bits though...

I gotta agree with that, even if it's one of my favorite places in KH. They already did "prequels" in KH1 and 358/2 Days, There was a fake version of the world in C.O. in CoM, and of course the movie "played out" in KH2's version of the world.

That is definitely a possibility with the series, since half of KH3D's story was about restoring sleeping worlds from the dream realm. Yes the 3DS had some underwhelming visuals for what it was supposed to be and the PS4/XBone could render Symphony of Sorcery beautifully and do Fantasia justice. But for what it's worth, I'm glad that I finally got to fight Chernobog at his original domain.

I'm a big Kingdom Hearts fan. If you see my PSN profile I have Platinum'd KH1, KH2, Re CoM, and BBS. Let me tell you, you have to be a diehard to completely 100% Re CoM, it is so frustrating getting all the Enemy Cards.

I think my favorite game so far in terms of story is a tie between KH1 and BBS, while gameplay wise KH2 and 3D. I kinda dislike how they focused more on Master Xehanort and the Organization rather than the Disney villains in later games, just because I think it's a little off balanced. I also didn't like 3D's story because I thought it was kind of useless having both Sora and Riku going for a Mastery Exam, considering Aqua, Terra, and Ventus were trained all their life while Sora and Riku were kind of just swept away by the Heartless in their teenage years without any instruction in using the Keyblade. I think they're more legends compared to the other three, but eh, I'm just sperging out loud.

The KH1 story has no established place in the timeline, it wasn't in Coded at all and the KH2 story was a continuation rather than a retreat of the film. I don't know what KH games you've been playing.

I've played all of them except for KH1 Final Mix and chi, but I haven't payed much attention to the specific stories in Disney worlds - I normally assume they're all heavily modified from their source material to make concepts used by KH fit, so it would make sense that seeing Christmas Town in KH2 = events of the movie, therefore KH1/Days = Prequel, even if the events of the movie and KH don't line up.

Also - C.O. stands for Castle Oblivion, a castle that can create replica worlds through cards, and CoM stands for Chain of Memories, I don't know where you got the bit about Coded from.

My point was, they covered all the ground they could cover with the world of A Nightmare Before Christmas, so all they can really do is rehash the existing world maps and that's not gonna fly in KH3.

Edit: the KH2 version is implied to take place after the movie, however.

I honestly don't think the KH stories for the Disney worlds are canon. I mean...Sora's in them. It's just an alternate universe in my eyes.

Speaking of really awesome worlds, anybody like Enchanted Dominion from BBS? For some reason I really loved the design of that place, given that the path from peaceful Aurora's Castle to dreadful Maleficent's Castle had drastically different environments. That's something you really didn't see in the past KH games (Agrabah in KH1 and KH2 came close since it added the Cave of Wonders and the Desert Ruins)

Enchanted Dominion was a pretty nice world. I really like the music and the music that plays in battle. I felt the art design was a bit lacking, but that could have just been because of the PSP's power. Idk why that world had Minecraft-like block trees, its weird. Maleficent's castle was a pretty awesome sight to see, though. I love how there weren't any enemies in the room that features the climb up to it, it just lets the evil atmosphere sit with you as you gaze at the castle of evil.

KH worlds have had quite a bit of variety in the past, still. Captain Hook's ship featured the clock tower section, Olympus in KH2 had the entire underworld, Halloween Town had Christmas Town, Hallow Bastion has quite a few different areas, and I can name a whole bunch of others in KH1 and 2. The series has never been lacking in area variety IMO.

I'd really like to see a Treasure Planet world in the game. I don't really expect it to be in since the movie wasn't a huge hit, but there potential there for some really awesome stuff.

Unchained X just came out in Japan, but if you have Android and download an APK then you should be able to play too.

Is it true that Corey Burton dubbed over Christopher Lee in the HD rerelease of KH II?
