I'm hyped for it. The story from six minutes of trailers is going to be insane, Riku's new outfit looks fresh as hell (though I'm not crazy for the capri shorts with the boots...), and the new song is pretty chill.
 
I thought it was cool, monsters inc is one of my favourite disney movies
 
Kingdom hearts... A brilliant premise with a shitty execution. A game where the first one was so "good" (mediocre) that Squenix has proceeded to release the EXACT SAME DAMN GAME, with a slightly different coat of paint each time, under the guise of demakes, pretentiously-named prequels, midquels, remakes of demakes, and (rarely) sequels, for the past decade and a half or so.
Edit: Forgot about "Final Mix" versions as well.

tl;dr: I'm not impressed. And I won't be, until Sora, Cloud, and Spider-Man team up to take on Darth Vader.

I mean...that’s how the majority of sequels are. But I get your point. Still enjoy the games though, dumb story and all.

I have the exact opposite opinion. Disney meets Final Fantasyis one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard, given that the main demographic for FF is edgelords/weaboos and that Disney is well Disney. I feel that the only way the games have managed to stay good is by distancing themselves from both sides as much as possible and going for something that feels a little like both but is mostly original.

That said, they've distances themselves from the Disney side a bit much for my taste. Basically after KH1 (with the exception of BBS) the world's hold zero relevance to the story and it just gets kind if dull having to play through watered down movies.

The sequel situation is pretty ridiculous though. There are three games that just recycle existing worlds and two that are just the world's from KH1. The story keeps getting so many Retcons and additions that Ansem, the bad guy from KH1, turns out to actually be Xehanort, the apprentice of Ansem, and not only that but he's not actually Xehanort, he's mind wiped Terra who's posessed by the REAL Xehanort, who's Leonard Nimoy. And it wouldn't surprise me if he's like two thousand years old as two characters from the new mobile game look like they could be his parents.
I can't wait for KH3 to be out so that the stupidity of The Dark Seeker Saga is over. Though I guess I will miss the Retcons a bit. It's fun to be baffled by the next new plot twist (for reference time travel by losing your body in KH3D, and a much beloved but minor antagonist and protagonist being from The Age of Fairy Tales meaning they are like 2000 years old in KHUX). M. Knight Shamalan wishes he was this 'creative'.

In short, I can not believe that an edge lord got his Disney fan-fiction published as a best selling video game but my butt is ready for the entire trip.

Obviously Riku is a mind wiped Noctis and his new keyblade is the key to the Regalia

The 3/4 pants might be useful on an island for like wading and shit but overall it's pretty dumb. I think the checked pattern is the worst part. At least there's only one zipper I guess.

I mean, Fenrir in KH2 was just a motorcycle key wrapped in bandages. I've looked up some information about his new Keyblade's design because the circular parts interested me and apparently it's a pretty common key design in Asia.
 
Die hard KH fan here, do them on LV1.

Not a fan of BBS or KH3D because the gameplay is garbage imo.

But yea, my favorite series ever.

Also Sora getting hit while summoning Meow Wow and taking damage to me is not a good sign. Osaka team is notorious to hardcore KH fans as to being very bad with game balance. (New Monsters Inc trailer)

Problem with KH 3D and BBS is that you can get the most powerful commands super early. Sure you can not use them, but it just makes fights much harder and in an unfair way. In BBS or KH3D bosses never stagger. BBS is:
Mines
Magnet
Cure
Surges

You can beat BBS with 4 fucking commands. It's not fun.


Now Re CoM, my 3rd favorite. Very easy to break the game with firaga and blizzaga aka the most accessible magic. You can shred through bosses and enemy waves with a good set up.

Also I had a look through the leaked F2P and saw Frozen is going to be a world in the game.

We didn't even need a leak to tell us that tbh. Frozen did so well in Japan there was no chance it wouldn't be a world.
