Was really into Kingdom Hearts as a kid, like really really into it.

Kingdom hearts 2 came out when I was in 6th grade, then I played it, and now I guess I'm waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3. Not as into it, anymore since I lost my interests in gaming, partly due to lack of time, but mostly due to inapt fiances which makes it difficult to be onto of games.

And we learn nothing really aside of Toy Story is now a world in the game.
I mean great, at least a new world revealed but at this point I think the main question for many in regard of KH will be the following:
Are they going to add another cancerous plotpoint into the "storyline"?
I don't know about others, but I am getting sick of how instead of just wrapping up the already convoluted plot ideas, the games just add one bullshit thing after another with every new game or just remake of a game to the pile.

^I mean Kingdom Hearts is a cashcow now they'd eventually have to end the series if the plot wasn't so convoluted. And Square Enix loves their cashcows.

Hearing Woody and Buzz Lightyear speak in Japanese was simply horrifying. Japanese should be a dead language.

This thread should be almost be in community watch.
So many fucking weirdos are into KH.
Every trailer has like a 3 dozen response videos of people crying about them.

It's like they ripped something from fanfiction.net and made it a real franchise.

Fun game mechanics though.
Three is looking a bit too flashy imo from trailers but maybe it'll still be good.

KH died after the second game. I played the PSP one and it sucked ass.
It was on a PSP. You should've known it was gonna suck ass.

Even though I'm not much of a KH fan myself, I am pretty curious to see what new things the developers are gonna do in KH3. Well, that is if it ever gets finished.

Hyped for KH3, tbh. The gameplay looks pretty fun, and hopefully the music will be as stellar as it usually is.

lmao you actually pay attention to the plots of Kingdom Hearts without a shitload of booze and/or pot? Do you hate yourself?

I thought it was interesting that you're not limited to two other party members at a time. The trailer had five including Sora.

I think what they've said is that world characters will be part of the party as guest characters. That definitely strikes me as something they wouldn't have been able to pull off comfortably on the PS2. The battles also look way bugger, here's hoping it can hit levels of KH2 quality with the combat.

i have only played the first one, was pretty much into it, but never cared about playing the sequels and remakes, in the irc we were discussing how square made almost exact models rendered in real time of all the toys, and i mean that is fucking impressive, Woody, Buzz, the dinosaur and the pig look exactly the same as how they looked in the movie, looks like partnering with disney allowed square to use pixar assets.

We were also discussing the constant delays the consensus is that Disney is pushing their new IPs in the game, and Square were doing weird shit with it (there is a rumour about swapping the game engine from unreal 3 to lumine then they swapped it to unreal 4 just to port it to xbox and HOPEFULLY pc) lets wait and see

Update: even this guy from EA agrees with me, that shit was to good for PS4/Xbone, Maybe Xbone X

I didn't see anything that was really that amazing.
Looked about the same level of quality as 2.8

If they were faking it, there was a lot to improved upon.
That framerate was extremely stable compared to 0.2. Either Square somehow figured out optimization completely, or they're running it on stronger hardware altogether.

Well the game is "still in development" but everyone that i asked told me the same "that shit was so cash for a PS4", considering how frenetic the action looks in those trailers

Also as expected the main reason that KH3 has been delayed to oblivion is because Execute meddling and switching engines in mid development

Going from an inhouse engine where you make everything custom for yourself to a modular professional off the shelf engine with all the bells and whistles already included with existing platform compatibility and preoptimization?

It looks nice, but it's still well within realistic expectations. 0.2 was itself a demo/proof of concept Unreal that they pushed out in order to stem the discontent and anticipation, so it's not unreasonable to have expected further optimization for their PS4+ build or whatever the fuck the name of the stronger PS4 is.

I think you might also be confusing the scale of the environments with detail or something. Because they mostly showed excessively huge flat empty areas like DDD.

The only really amazing shit in the trailer were the particle effects, and I know for fuck sure those are real, because Kingdom Hearts has always had the best fucking particles.

That makes sense. I dunno, as excited as I am for KH3 I'm just trying to keep my expectations at bay because I know I'll buy way too hard into the hype if I'm not careful.

I know the weapons won't be anything too complicated, but the amount of variety in them is pretty cool for a game that only ever really had one style, save for KH2's Forms.
