The concept is like 20-30 years late, that idea has been around forever since the first consoles and PCs. Smartphones and social networks have been a bane for humanity.

You're in extremely good luck because with Xbox 360 recompilation getting a massive upgrade this week, people are already recompiling Blue Dragon! They finished Disc 1 like a day ago and they already have some 60fps gameplay up and going. If you give it like a month or two you'll probably get a relatively playable PC port going. Lost Odyssey port soon?I just want a remake or even a remaster of Blue Dragon.
Imo chrono trigger doesnt deserve a remake, at best a remaster for the sprites maybe add content that was originally cut if any and it would be perfect. Chrono trigger for me is already a good game that doesnt deserved to be raped by the "modern audience" shit.
Blue Dragon was amazing on all fronts, I'd love to be able to play that on something besides my crummy 360. I wouldn't say a remaster or remake is needed- the graphics made stylized enough to where you can't really improve on them a whole lot beyond just smoothing them out further (but they're already pretty smooth iirc.) The main thing would just be to get it on a system that can output a higher resolution to really let the visuals shine through. Would be cool if they did something with that DS game, Blue Dragon Plus. It was a neat twist on a tactical RPG. But that might be banished to DS pergatory like most games that make heavy use of the touch screen.I just want a remake or even a remaster of Blue Dragon.

No but I've always wanted to get around to it. I feel like there aren't really a whole lot of JRPGs on the Dreamcast outside of Grandia II, PSO, and Skies of Arcadia.
I think DQ2 had a lot more room for work to be done considering the fact that most of DQ2 was pretty barebones. CT has a wide amount of content that I couldn't see a remake possibly adding more substance to. Also some sequences where they actively let the player off on their own to solve, if you know you know, will absolutely not be left alone and that'd kill me. I also don't even trust Team Asano/Artdink or really any arm of Square Enix to do it any justice.Normally I'd just call any remake of CT guaranteed slop. But the HD2D remake of DQ2 really blew my mind and convinced me that if it's going to work, it has to be HD2D to keep the sprite work and preferably be done by Team Asano and/or Artdink.
But I see way less reason for such a remake to exist when we have the very excellent PC version.
Vesperia is an exceptionally slow start, even for Tales games. I remember not even really being hooked until the halfway point when the actual stuff happening behind the scenes comes to the forefront.I'm about 15 hours into Tales of Vesperia and I think this game lacks real direction. Fighting countless enemies that stagger you out of combos is not fun, and makes the game a crawl. And the story is just as aimless, just passing through towns, fixing the problem of the day. Yuri is keeping me entertained for now, but this game really tests your patience.
Just Graces, Zesteria, and Berseria, which feel like completely different series. I just got Raven for context of how far I am, one of my favorite things from those games was getting my ABCs down with the MC and then experimenting with the other characters, but the pacing I think stagnates that motivation in this game for me. Like I said Yuri is carrying the game for me, and I always laugh whenever Patty has shown up, so I'm not dropping it... but I think the game may have been overhyped for me.Vesperia is an exceptionally slow start, even for Tales games. You also have to invest some time into grinding out the skills from weapons in order to make a lot of the characters feel even remotely fun to play.
Is this your first Tales game?
Oof, can't imagine if you had tried the original release. Patty was scrapped in the 360 version and was added later.Like I said Yuri is carrying the game for me, and I always laugh whenever Patty has shown up, so I'm not dropping it... but I think the game may have been overhyped for me.
I mentioned it before but while I like Vesperia, it's probably the game that would've benefitted from giving your tools way earlier on or something like that. I played a bit of the game on NG+ with most of your endgame shit unlocked and the game is a lot of fun, but its a hard pitch to ask somebody to play a long JRPG again. I also think Graces' CC is better than TP but that's personal preference.I'm about 15 hours into Tales of Vesperia and I think this game lacks real direction. I will say that a lot of the other party members are a lot of fun. Judith especially is probably the most rewarding Team Symphonia Tales of character to master as her air combos are insane to pull off.Just Graces, Zesteria, and Berseria, which feel like completely different series. Especially since the original is just gonna be good forever. It's already stood the test of time (pun not intended). It's like a perfect movie in that it is a sealed and completed package which can be enjoyed whenever. Even classics of the era like Super Mario 64 have blemishes here and there, and early 3D graphics are a coin flip on looking either ass and dated or quaint and impressive (for the time). Chrono Trigger however is blessed to have excellence in all categories. And it was cutting edge enough to have things like newgame+, which I'm sure is a welcomed surprise for any first time players this generation. I myself played it in 2022, and it was something I looked forward to continuing each time I sat down to play it. Finished it in a couple sittings. Can't Squeenix let Chrono Trigger rest already? Do the third part already (if someone of the OG cast remains), if they dare.
Spice it up with a drinking game: Take a shot every time the characters reiterate their reasons for continuing to travel together. (Please don't actually do this. You will die.)I'm about 15 hours into Tales of Vesperia and I think this game lacks real direction. Fighting countless enemies that stagger you out of combos is not fun, and makes the game a crawl. If we're speaking smut, I still highly recommend Demons Roots for being really amazing, even the hardcore smut stuff does horror way more effectively than most games.
Holy shit, there goes my weekend.King Exit got an actual decent translation now
