Apparently he not only is a shit pet owner, it looks like he just generally lives like a fucking pig as well.
Police say they saw rotting meat, snakes in tote bags with holes in them ( I assume they're talking about the kinds of bag you put them in to transport them ), cat bed full of piss, spoiled food and flies and larvae everywhere.

Back when I was into reptiles the general consensus in pretty much every community is anyone who feeds live food over frozen are faggots and even worse if you film it, the exception was from snakes who would simply not take frozen which is stupidly rare anyway.

Speaking of live feeding, wasn’t there some big reptile channel that got into controversy when it was discovered that they did live feeding because the owner was a degenerate furry that got off on seeing mammals get eaten alive or something?
 
After reading this entire thread I am pleased to say, this is why I live where the wind hurts my face for six months of the year.

I would rather be cold, then have to deal with venomous reptiles, annoying bugs, and homeless people. God bless you Father Winter for keeping the pests at bay.

Not Jeffrey, just the incompetence of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers. They were present to euthanize invasive snakes (reticulated and Burmese pythons), yet the owner specifically mentioned leaving the boa alone as it wasn't his and it was legal to possess. Despite all warnings, they killed it. The snake was worth $100k.

I have a snake, nonvenomous constrictor, not large enough to hurt people or cats or dogs. Have had her for about 10 years and if I take care of her well she will live about 20 or 30 more years. Most snakes are ambush predators and do a lot of sitting around sleeping or waiting. I do take my snake out of her enclosure periodically and let her explore around and I can tell she likes it. She'll chill in my hoodie while I play video games. Normal snakes already don't have much going on in their heads, but my snake is particularly retarded and I was warned so by her breeder. It's kind of endearing. The downside is she's not a great eater and will only eat live. I stun the rats before giving them to her and her constriction is powerful enough that they are dead in <30 seconds from high blood pressure instead of suffocating. It still sucks but I do what I can to make it as ethical as I can.

I absolutely do not understand the appeal of owning a snake that could kill you, like a venomous snake or a large constrictor. It's literally just an ego thing. Snakes are too retarded to "develop a taste for blood" or something like a shitbull might, so they were probably euthanized for convenience and probably in a cruel/messy way like freezing them to death, since I doubt the snakes were carted to a vet to be given the pink juice.
 
Live feeding is just cruel for both the prey animal and the snakes (unless snake needs live feeding, then its up to the owner to make it safe and humane). There's high risk of the prey animal attacking the snake and injuring it/even killing it, especially in a small enclosure environment or box, depending on how cruel the owner is in keeping the snakes (snakes do not enjoy cramped boxes 24/7, those are meant to be temporary travel storage or for when their main tank is being cleaned). Snakes have zero defences when attacked (especially constrictors), as if they miss their initial bite, they don't exactly have arms or anything to fend off an attack.
After reading through this thread, man I hate terrible exotics owners, they always make the news and make everyone look bad, despite many doing their very best for their pets, and it also makes snakes/other reptiles look bad too when one inevitably kills someone due to poor management.

Man, this really pisses me off. Beautiful cat that had a lot of life left, neglected, and had his life cut short, because his owner was a moron. This really pisses me off.

I hope the guy that got bitten lives, I really do, but spends the rest of his life as a super cripple just so he can suffer.
 
The venomous keeper rabbit hole is deep and time consuming, but retards like this guy is exactly what sucked me in to it.

If he lives and they ever catch him with an exotic animal again, he should be thrown in jail.
