It's sort of surreal to see someone legitimately try and gloat with, "fuck you! Sometime between today and fifteen years from now, I'll have gotten off my ass and did something!"

Yeah, plagiarism is something that even professional journalists can rebound from, especially because a lot of plagiarism is unintentional. It would be even more likely to be overlooked if the accusation was from work on a single column in a student paper 17 years ago.

You know the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result? Have you been following Chris' recent eBay adventures? Very similar, only compressed in time frame.

Even if the plagiarism charge gets removed from your record (assuming it's even on there), so what? You won't be allowed back on campus because you graduated 17 years ago and the police have orders to arrest you on sight due to you harassing staff, girls, and even your former mentor. It'll be a nice moral victory, but it won't put your life in order. You are neurotic: you focus on shit of comparatively minor importance to the exclusion of the big picture. You miss the forest for the trees.

Don't confuse us with ED. It's for your benefit. We're a pretty nice group of people, overall, and it's why we like to talk about everyday stuff in the Off-Topic Subforum and Chat. Members rarely talk about Chris in chat. Some of our members have met up for drinks and good times in person. The reason this is even possible is because we aren't sociopathic trollshielders. Those that are eventually get banned.

It does test our patience when you reply like an asshole, though.

To be fair, that's the amount of time he's been simmering about the issue so far, and I've told him 15 years from now he'll still be in the same spot if he doesn't change. So that's probably what he is referring to.

I'll be honest, I'm going to miss seeing @The_Iconoclast stop by here, trying to defend himself. I sometimes wish he was better at responding to things said to him, but he was basically just reactionary and was trying to avoid some statments in order to "win." Icono, more than any other LOLCow interested me. Maybe it was because he was constantly posting things on here that could immediately be called out as lies by referring to things he wrote in his own blog. Or maybe I could relate a bit to him, being of similar age and from the same region. Ultimately, I'm not sure. There's plenty of info on him out there for us to dissect and discus forever, if we so choose, but not having him stop by here is a loss. Glad we won by his rules, but it doesn't seem like a win. He more rage quit over the furry/brony accusations than over any of the real things we'd brought up for him to defend over the first 20 or so pages.

I'd still like to try and read all his comics. I'm sure they'd be the same window into madness that Sonichu was.

Also, I'd like to know what the response, if he got one, from the university president was.

Don't worry, just come back in 15 years when his "life is rebuilt" (notice how he uses the passive voice) and he returns to gloat about how much of a success he is, living in a college dorm and having sex with the random coeds who call him up every night, while the former staff of his student paper have all been fired from their subsequent jobs.
