@The_Iconoclast: If I may ask, why don't you try to move out if you don't like living at your mom's place? I know a guy who lives on welfare, but he managed to rent a small apartment for himself. He's currently unemployed, but he manages to keep himself at least somewhat busy by volunteering at a local hospital.
 
The thing is, I don't mind staying here and helping my mom out with the cooking and chores. I just don't like dealing with my idiot brother's crazy antics. I'm trying to persuade her to disown him. She has suggested getting me an apartment in town, but I told her if it's not near ASU, I'm not interested.

I don't dignify Cat Party's inane comments with a response because they're just ugly and antagonistic, which as a mod he knows are a violation of the rules. Although I did clearly annoy him by saying his Rex cat avatar (which I rather liked, to be honest) looked like one of my sketches.

Also, the ACA isn't socialism. You demonstrate no understanding of socialism outside of a fundie right-wing caricature of it.
Also, I see a lot of blame being thrown at people in your life, at a shadowy ex girlfriend, at "LIBRUHLZ", at digital TV (?), at post AOL tech, etc. Where do you take responsibility for your own life?
 
Well, you can't expect the New Dorker or the Stuffitin Post to actually report the truth, now...that'd be a little too close to real journalism for comfort, wouldn't it?

I'll take more responsibility the day the punishments for mistakes stop being so severe. Punishing someone in perpetuity for one tiny mistake made years ago is excessive. I was a little socially awkward back in the day. I wrote a bad column, and I fell in love with a girl who may or may not have been completely sincere. I don't like ObamaCable. I don't like that my old friends from school still hold a grudge after all these years and won't talk to me, offer their help on my book projects, or put in a good word for me with the companies they work for. I don't like that I lost the little back-door I had with Hotmail for sending my files between my computers. I don't like living under the thumb of a little tinpot tyrant who seized power after my worthless business partner skipped town. In short, I don't like a bunch of stupid rules hanging over my head every time I make a move.

Is staying with your mom worth it if you have to live with an abusive person from what you've told us? Also, why would you want to live near ASU if you're not allowed on the campus?

I think that's were his ex-girlfriend works so moving would inconvenience his hobby of stalking her.
 
Anybody know if someone in his position can still go into journalism? Plagiarism is a serious charge so I'm curious if he's screwed or he could have saved himself time and hardship by studying elsewhere.

I have a feeling that if the Iconoclast tried to get any job, he'd eventually get fired for ranting about DA LIBERULS and politics bullshit all day, and antagonizing/insulting his customers and co-workers who don't want to listen to his delusional long-winded rants.

Honestly, I don't really like either style on you. Why don't you try the clean-shaven look, you have such lovely, compassionate eyes and it'd fit your face so well. Don't get mad, but I think you're really handsome. :heart-full::oops:

By the way, I think it's incredibly kind of you to keep looking after your mother. Sometimes the people here can be so cruel and latch onto anything to make fun of, like "Oh, you live in the same house as your mother, clearly you can't look after yourself", but real life isn't so simple. :left: I always say. It takes a real man to make the type of sacrifices you make for your family, especially when your brother sounds like such a horrible person.

And the desert is great, by the way.

You could have come in to the community, not used your lolcow handle and lived under the radar and maybe had some fun and made a couple friends.

He legitimately believes he isn't a lolcow so in his mind his username gives him some sort of internet street cred, he necroed the thread because like all special snowflakes he needs the attention. But most importantly he won't answer your question because he's to busy trying to find out how much it's going to cost to get cum off a fur suit. Also catparty is right iconoclast you started the antagonism you put your comics on here.

I can assure you that Dropbox and Google Drive can do everything e-mail file share can do, but better. They're pretty helpful and can store gigabytes worth of files at a time for free. And yep, you can access it from any computer because the files are hosted from an online account.
