Are you kidding? Have you seen how small the moon is in the sky? You send a tall guy up there he would crush it with his mighty thunderous footsteps.

Seriously (?) though, sometimes I am jealous of short men. Look at Toulouse-Lautrec's paintings of the Moulin-Rouge. From that perspective, I'd say he had the best view in the house.
 
I'm a smidgen under 5'8" + a chubby fuck and my partner is 6' even + a lanky beanpole. A funny contrast honestly. :v I personally find shorter gals to be cute as hell - like both of my exes in that regard are like 5'4" and 4'11". I like being the big spoon but now I'm stuck being the jet pack. (:_(

The most notable thing I see with some short guys is the Napoleon Complex. My former band director was about 5'5" and he would try to one up my father (6') for some reason. But then again they were both military men so that probably had something to do with it.
 
Some super tall guys (like over 6'5'') aren't lanky at all. It's like if you took a picture of a man and put it in Photoshop and then scaled it up. Those fellas are big.
 
Simple: Cringey MRA's use "being short as a man is seen as unattractive, this shows how men are disadvantaged in society!" as their argument and cringey feminists use 'being fat as a woman is seen as unattractive, this shows how women are disadvantaged in society! as their argument.

At the end of the day they do make something of a point, but most everyone in the middle of these two is completely fine with either and just wants to date who they find attractive. That and laugh at the two extremes as they argue about who's the most oppressed.
 
Actually, I would have no problem being a manlet. At my height, I can commiserate with the others in this thread about airplane seats and small cars, especially when you factor in that I am almost 400 pounds. (People tell me my weight issues stem from spending too much time on my computer and need more exercise. They may have a point because my fingers are skinny as hell from all the typing I do.) I have also been known to bump into chandeliers and the occasional ceiling fan. Sometimes I feel like Gandalf in a hobbit-hole when I'm in other people's homes.

But the hardest part about my height is that people refuse to believe that I can't play basketball.

Here's hoping that manlets everywhere can feel better about themselves, and Happy Easter/Passover/I'm-an-atheist-and-this-is-just-another-boring-Sunday!

i really want to go post as a 5'1" girl who's only attracted to men 6'5"+ And how hard that is but I can't think of a more depressing way to spend easter
 
I'm a 5'11" person, pretty much rather tall compared to most men and women I know.
And I ain't thin and lanky either, I'm actually rather chubby.

And like with "thin privilege" and "fat discrimination", I have to say that "heightism" is nothing but

Its like I said on the SlutHate page a while back. A charismatic, well dressed, confident fat socialite is more attractive than a slender, muscular guy who spends all his time sitting on the internet bitching about evil wiminz.
 
Yeah tall guys aren't automatically lanky. I'm 6 2 and solid, played football all through high school, and I'm still a nerd who sits on the computer looking at these forums and playing emulators all day. I think I need a made up mathematical formula to explain how I'm not Chad Thundercock.
 
Yeah, I really don't think height matters except at, like, the upper echelons of corporate America (guess how many CEOs are <6ft protip: not a lot)
But at that stage you're barely a human being anyway so whatever
 
I am a male who is 5'9" and I love my height. I went on a Navy ship one time and all the doorways were built for men my height, taller people would have to duck. I've been rejected by tall girls before, and I have had taller girls fall for me. I'm ridiculously good looking though. Height matters a little but there's hope for all manlets.
 
Seriously? Do they actually use the term 'manlets'? What a fucking joke! Seriously, this whole 'height discrimination' thing is yet another in a long string of things the red pill crowd can use as an excuse for their failures with women. Anything to blame but their own stupid actions and shortcomings. If they'd just bath once in a while, cut their hair, and stop wearing fedoras and MLP shirts they'd at least stand a chance at getting laid.

Anyway, yes height is largely considered attractive and masculine in Western culture... but bear in mind the average height in the US is what? 5'6"? 5'8"? The average person is not some sort of towering giant, nor can most people accurately assess height enough for a couple of inches to make much difference. If you are about average height, you aren't going to stand out one way or another. To hear the red pills talk, you'd think that anyone under 6' doesn't stand a chance with the opposite sex at all.

Of course if it really bothers them all that much they could move overseas to someplace like China where they'd tower above the locals.
