Yes. it's fucking expensive to send things into space. The smaller and lighter said thing is, the better. It's something like for every pound you try to send into orbit, you need at least 3 more pounds of thrust.

Partly, there was the original reason regarding blood oxygen levels, but then it turned into a mass to lift calculation in the early Apollo missions that's carrying over to the present day,even with reduced launch costs most astronauts are still in the old Apollo range partly because space suits haven't changed as well.

I'm a lanky bastard myself and I've been subscribed to that subreddit for a long while. It reminds me of an old joke:

A Jewish man was riding on the subway reading an Arab newspaper. A friend of his, who happened to be riding in the same subway car, noticed this strange phenomenon. My husbando is 5'6 I'm 5'9 I seriously don't understand height being an issue for people, but who cares.

On tumblr they take ageism seriously, but not in the "elder abuse happens and is bad" way but the "you said I'll understand when I'm older, I'm 14 and that is ageist" way.
 
anyone remember those days when being a normal person with a normal job was the stuff that get you laid and happy? good old times
