pretty much it, VA+Riting is what be dangerous for any indie GTA clone, even if they get some instagrammer VA or nimmas like yongyea to do it there is still the acting factor to weigh on the game (which the likes of yongyea/markiplier are incapable of doing for some reason), there's a local indie game here that tries to follow GTA5 steps and is built on UE. but as you can guess, it's bland, boring and feels like a carbon copy of GTA5... when it was on the newz in here some people didn't held it with high regards after i pointed how bland it is, the team is smol? ofc, but they don't workaround their difficulties and doesn't even want to set the base for the game rather than "looking like GTA and thas it"GTA isn't really a game you can make without the backings of a big studio which knows what it is doing. It's a very broad game, with a huge map, lots of missions, and ridiculously large amounts of dialogue Here's the script to GTA 4(i know the earlier games had a lot less dialogue and smaller stories, but still, it will be very long):

In my view smaller groups always struggled the most with good voice acting over anything. You can get pretty much everything to do with graphics and all that other shit out of the box with most engines they use, but you can't get voice acting out of it. That's even with small companies, let alone some group doing a passion project.
so he was a kiwi that became a lolcow?I don't like what they did to Lazlow at all tbqh. Vice City got a little carried away, but by San Andreas they turned him into a full fledged retard when he used to be the normal guy making fun of the retards.
