Definitely agreeing with you on the leaks being bullshit although the 3D Era characters in an HD Era game might not be as big of a red flag since 3D Era does carry over into the radio stations.

its a red flag because its tommy vercetti. i could lend it some credence if it was anyone else but not tommy.

like the only time they ever brought a protag back was Johnny iirc, and they killed him. on top of that, getting anyone else besides ray liotta to play him would just be sacrilege. and i doubt ray is coming back after how he feels he was burned on vice city for not getting that big hollywood money.

The only exception of that was Lazlow. Mainly because he's a staple of GTA, it was more of a reboot like Liberty City from III to IV.

3D characters returning in GTA now is extremely unlikely; events from those games take place in a different continuity.

Bit of autistic nitpicking on my part, I'll admit, but there's also Fernando Martinez, Love Fist, Jack Howitzer, Jock Cranley, Cris Formage, and, albeit a little more indirectly, various 3D era radio hosts appear as names on the Vinewood Walk of Fame in GTAV.

>still no GTA 6
>another remake of a game that came out 10+ years ago

funny enough, I went back to playing GTA III. even for something made back in 2001, I still prefer the silent protagonist more than the Three Horseman in Michael, Franklin and Trevor.
I still consider Vice City my golden GTA title, tbh. Tommy Vercetti is the brutal psychotic protagonist Trevor Phillips wishes he could be and that's without going over the top like Trevor has to.

I'd have to stick with the OG PS2 version, since it's the only one with the entire Vice City soundtrack intact.

I don't know about weapons, but the last time I checked, you could spawn cars from GTA Online in Story Mode with mod menus. Not sure if it's possible now, though
I'm pretty sure you can port over any Online weapon into Story Mode with just about any mod menu.

I did not like Lazlow being used in missions.

I don't like what they did to Lazlow at all tbqh. Vice City got a little carried away, but by San Andreas they turned him into a full fledged retard when he used to be the normal guy making fun of the retards.

Not quite a GTA game but one of my favorite GTA clones from the PS2 era...

Let's talk about The Simpsons: Hit & Run!

I've been replaying that on my old PS2 recently. Finished all of Level 1 and the first mission of Level 2.

If any game from the early 2000's deserves the same kind of remake treatment that Battle of Bikini Bottom and the Crash Bandicoot trilogy got, it'd be that one. Shame that Simpsons is so woke that you can't even have Apu around.

Here's your tip: stay in school.

Oh fuck I just remembered that Bully existed. Time to reinstall...

Dorito Pope Geoff Keighley announces that GTA V has sold 140 million units. Last year alone, more copies of it were sold more than other years, except for its launch date in 2013.

Is that including the fact that in May of 2020 they gave it for free on the Epic Store? Cause if not, I'm going to be pressing X to Doubt.

Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't even approach that in terms of sales. Will it ever get any dlc or whatever love?

I did not know that you could switch cars in The Driver.

Or that you can disrupt enemy spawns in some missions.

gta v sold that and didn't get any dlc love, why the fuck would rdr2?
'Or whatever' as in new vehicles and game modes. Given how some almost need shark cards (or money cheating) they might as well be dlcs. Add ons to RD2 have never given any attention to basic lacks like heists which Online got years ago.

RDO is basically on life support so unless the selling it separately for 5 dollars thing works I doubt it.

It seems like a desperate gambit, but this is a bit too much like a low featured Truck Simulator or Sim Naturalist (if such a thing exists), I cannot see it happening. The standard game is so much richer outside of main missions, a living world of sorts. GTA V has been overtaken a long time ago by Online which has an ecosystem of missions big and small. I hope some good content (not collecting eggs or delivering barrels) appears for RDO.
