I found Knights of Guernsey to be surprisingly decent despite my low expectations. However, the people who worked on it, especially the (English) voice actors and Dana herself, I dislike them very much. Since I didn't develop any sort of attachment to the cartoon or its creators, I don't really care about it being greenlit or not. If we were to get a full season, I would get something to watch that may or may not be good and discuss it here; if we don't, I get to laugh at Dana and at her chronically online followers. This is kind of a win-win situation if you ask me.

Why did you have to remind me of that? I spawned one of the most cancerous fandoms I've ever seen. I didn't even watch the original short, but I kind of know everything about it due to it being literally unavoidable for the average nerd when it was popular. We can still feel its impact with garbage like infection AUs, which are autistic fan media all about scenarios like "What if Sonic and his friends got infected with evil rabies?"

But now that you have mentioned how Gameoverse is similar to Pibby, I can see those similarities in that trailer. I don't have great expectations for the first episode, but it could still turn out to be okay like Knights of Guelders did despite its trailer.
I didn't follow internet communities for pibby so I'm completely in the blue about that bs.

The trailer for Gameoverse felt very underwhelming and that it has nothign going on for it. I have low expectations for this show.

Why do people hate ok KOG I kinda liked it.
This is going to sound incredibly shallow but the style and character designs put me off. I don't feel like watching a show about an NPC who looks like she wants to show you her toenail collection. Look at Frankie's expression here.

Granted there's some kind of muscle and bone structure. They can make interesting designs, look at the Gwendroid. But I can't stand the way the main humans look. The way Dana, and people like her, draw faces is incredibly off-putting.

Guess they had to put out an update confirming it wasn't dead before Dana made another show shitting on them this time.

It took them long enough to say anything about KoG. I guess we are going to miss out on Dana having a meltdown over getting her cartoon canceled once again.

I hope we finally get a cartoon from Glitch with an actually good story. MD's story is too fast and confusing, and literally nothing has happened in TADC so far, so they better get their shit together this time.

I don't know very much about Gameoverse, and Lackadaisy's had years twenty years to get its shit together. Lackadaisy is old enough to vote. Tracy Butler is around 46. So no idea. I just don't know.

has the comic even had an update? I honestly thought it was taken out back at this point.
It's been on hold since they started work on the series so it's been a few years.
Tracy claims she'll continue work on the comic later and the animated series will be a separate thing but in all honesty I don't see that happening. Seems like the series has taken up all of her attention so let's hope it's not shit, or else.

I do enjoy the sweet hypocrisy of a show with not‑so‑subtle anti‑consumerism undertones shoving merch ads even into the greenlight announcement. And it seems like announcing you’re not using AI is the new greenwashing. You can pull all kinds of questionable shit, like time‑limited merch to trigger FOMO but just yell ‘NO AI GUYS’ and the redditors will flood your comments with dicksucking, and that flood conveniently buries any real criticism.

Why, with these completely Certified Organic designs, I never would’ve guessed. Thanks for telling us!
I remember when lesbians used to be attractive. Even in explicitly gay media like But I'm a Cheerleader, they at least cast hot actors.
When did they start intentionally making them ugly? Is it when they made Velma a canon dyke in Mystery Incorporated?

Because you're not allowed to be attractive anymore because you make the ugly people feel sad. :(

Lackadaisy is not that good... I mean she has nice art but the story is a whole lot of nothing happening so there's going to need to be some rewrites or the animated series will be equally as boring.
I always thought the art was nice, but never bothered to check it as furry isn’t my thing. Always wondered why it wasn’t bigger than it was. I assumed it must had been printing money. Now I know why it’s not.

The art is unquestionably top tier, the concept is solid, but if the story is boring that would explain why nobody cares about it.

I remember when lesbians used to be attractive.

They still are.

You just have look outside western media. Lesbians in western media are designed by middle aged women with daddy issues. They are ugly outside becuase they don’t want to feel threatened by other women (and also to give the middle finger to men), they have horrible personalities because they are shallow self inserts. They are all about getting asspats on social media.

Meanwhile anime, has lesbians that are cute becuase Yuri appeals mostly to men. They are designed to be likeable. But even lesbians will prefer attractiveness over ugly characters, to self insert or be attracted to.

Frankie has actually been explicitly mentioned to be heterosexual by Dana herself, the main duo aren't actually romantically involved with each other if that's what you're implying.

This guy right here unironically admitted to enjoying anime yurishit and tries to pass it off as something normal heterosexual men are into, fuck off.

I am implying they are ugly which they are.

Your interviews mean little to me because Danna pulled a last minute lesbians in her last show. As if it wasn't a common trick by now from the west to change , or, “reveal” sexualities for asspats.

Massive grain of salt she will not have lesbian or gay characters.

Pointing out the obvious, that Lesbians in anime are made attractive =/= me being into Yuri. You Tumblr shits can't breathe without straw meaning whomever disagrees with you.

Then why do you give a shit about it?, the attractiveness of lesbian characters (or any character for that matter) is a complete non-issue when trying to criticize media that its made me suspect you're into that shit for whatever reason.

Anyway, in not so good news, remember the Murder Drones comic adaptation?, well, not only is it just a shot-for-shot remake of the actual show, but it's not even completely accurate, it's like they didn't even watch the series itself.
