I must admit, most of the time I look at the character's design and personality to decide whether I want them in my party or not.
I still got Kaeya C1 in my main party just because I like his personality and backstory. It also helps that the content in Genshin Impact is relatively easy so there's no need to min-max. I have Dota to tryhard and GI to relax and watch some fireworks.

And hey, if she turns out to be subpar, people will cry and Mihoyo might buff her like they buffed Zhongli.
You're right. Only faggot min-max on a waifu gacha game. If you're not playing it for Mona's nonexistent ass or Beidou's thighs, why even play? Im still using Fischl in my party because schizo-chunnibyou retards are the best and makes my weewee hard.

Also lore-wise, Venti's backstory is some sad shit and actually made me care for the twink. Kaeya cool too because he's a real nigga

Yeah, this. I can't get in to characters I've not gone through part of the story with.

You just know there are some Klee 'fans' out there with the same....inclinations, unfortunately.

never understood riri's meme status (or the hate she gets in return). but then I'm not that much into konosuba, so EXPLOSION doesn't do much for me.

as for hu tao, doubt she'll be shit, to avoid a zhongli situation. gonna have to wait and see if ganyu was a fluke or we'll get borderline op 5 stars that will never be nerfed from now on...

You just know there are some Klee 'fans' out there with the same....inclinations, unfortunately.

eh, lolifagging doesn't necessarily mean you wanna fuck it. but I've already sperged about that enough somewhere else.
sometimes the appeal of cute can cross genders. nothing wrong with a pint-sized underage terrorist channeling her inner michael bay - and what else to expect when the mother wanted to put hilichurls into camps to use as an energy source...

some bits make her sound like gilbert gottfried from the 50 shades audiobook trailer...

People who play genshin impact are swine and should be ashamed.
I'm quoting this because It reminded me of some funny shit thats somewhat relevant.

My friends who play this game keep putting off co-op whenever I'm available to play it with them. The one that actually fucking got me Into this game weirdly just has not even so much as ever tried any of the lore or event shit, yet he's spent 40 something or other dollars on the gacha back on the Klee banner. No clue how much he's spent since. Another one that HAS done the events is somehow conveniently never on when I'm on and if there's like a way to get free primo currency he's not gonna help other than saying theres a way to most of the time, secretive bastard. Third one rage-quit the game and uninstalled after an extremely minor disagreement involving him rushing ahead while I was loading in, and he kept fucking dying because he literally put no thought into the elemental weakness mechanics so he'd end up doing shit like attacking wind elementals with wind. Point here is I've had no help from anyone so some things have taken much longer than they should have. It's not like this with other games, it's literally just genshin this shit happens in.

I actually didn't get a chance to try that theater mechanicus thing till like the FINAL HOURS of it due to scheduling and I was like "God damn there's no way I'll be able to finish this shit" so I bit the fucking bullet and entered a matchmaking queue. Usually this ends in disaster when I try it but this time the algorithm gods put me in the game of some rando who was in a similar kinda "last minute panic" kinda deal and we just fucking blew through the thing. It was really fun and I'm kinda upset that it's not just a permanent optional minigame with how in-depth it was.
The fact you could just run around the map and actually push the enemies away manually if you did properly timed attacks giving more time for the sentries to kill them kinda added a sort of hectic sense of control to the tower defense gameplay. Players could upgrade their own turrets between matches, but both players were upgrading their shit it wouldnt be exactly the same for everyone that placed theirs in the match itself. I know it's probably a balancing reason but it's kinda shitty that it was locked to 2 people only because another random person joined the game but couldn't do the gamemode and left because I think he already had finished the quests and was just playing it.

That's pretty much the entire culmination of my recent thoughts about this game right now, as incoherent as the delivery may be from the multitasking happening on my end. Hopefully i get a chance to get the fucking "late for halloween" ghost character with all the free shit I stocked up on before certain interests catch wind of undead characters being in a china based game studio's game. I'm guessing either that weird censorship ban on depictions of dead/undead characters was lifted or these guys are playing with fire having not one but 2 undead themed characters in this fucking game.

This is degenerate, you and your friends are swine.

Alright lads, who's rolling for spooky ghost lady?
I dumped my 140 saved rolls into the weapon banner and came out with the Staff of Homa for my zhongli and Wols Gravestone for Diluc so I might roll on her banner just for the heck of it. I'm not that far away from my coinflip pity.
I still got Kaeya C1 in my main party just because I like his personality and backstory.
The main thing I remember about Kaeya's backstory is that the reason he flips the coin in his idle animation is because he's trying to decide whether his alliance lies with Monstadt or the region he came from and I thought that was pretty cool. Havent read the webcomic or read that much lore though
From what i've seen her E is almost identical as Diluc's? just adding pyro damage to your basic attacks, arguably worse since polearms damage couldn't compete with claymore.
I don't know though, gotta wait more to see her full skillset because right now to me she seemed like an inferior version of Diluc. I don't mind rolling for her though because Rie Takahashi.
You can look at her full skill descriptions and stats on honey impact. She's not really that similar to Diluc aside from being a Pyro DPS. She gets ATK and damage boosts from having high max HP and being below 50% HP. Also Polearms at least have the benefit of having much better charged attacks and being faster than claymores. Better for DPS but worse for breaking through shields/GEO
People who play genshin impact are swine and should be ashamed.

I'm kind of getting to this point. It's a game without a set ending on the horizon.
The set ending is when you beat:
1. the person stealing all the god power crystal things from the 7 gods

2. your brainwashed sibling

3. defeat the god that trapped you and your siblings asses in this fucking place after imprisoning you in cube stasis for who the hell even knows how many years

4. Kill and/or eat Paimon [ optional? ]

damn bro you missed out on a talent crown and a free ass character? Hydro+Cryo towers were the best way to go, mixing it up with physical for geo slimes and electric for cryo mages. Clearing the entire shop wasnt really worth it but the free character and crown were.
And yeah the guy who literally wanted me to play this game in the first place quit before he even finished the Liyue story. I think he also spent $50 on the fucking standard banner then perma-ragequit.

Yeah, I can see the vague outlines of the future but genshin hasn't unpacked its various areas and stories and will most likely take years to do so. Dunno if I should wait that long.

I actually got everything with an hour to spare or so as I mentioned.
I did miss out on the talent crown thing during the dragonspire event, though. That was due to me ascending the world sometime before it and it putting me up 2 ascensions instead of 1, as well as the whole thing with shitty matchmaking nightmares. I'm probably not gonna touch the ascension quest again for fear of it doing shit like that again. Maybe I will eventually cave and do the quest, who knows. I've been trying to grind up my favorite characters stats to max and each required thing I do adds more exp making the world level ascension shit go up.

I personally just did pyro/electro towers and the other random guy I was playing with pointed out after he tried it that the mines were fucking overpowered and we basically just eventually started bombing the fuck out of the monstersand gaining the build shit back because of those runes that give you more build shit if the monsters die in their vicinity.

Yeah I bet mines are great if you're co-oping, I'm sure that speeds it up by a shitton, wish I tried that looking back on it.

They were pretty useless against enemies with fire shields from what I remember but for like standard ass ruin guards and the goblins it just blasted them away in 1 or 2 hits.

I'm the future you will need to role specific characters to unlock story content. 5 stars ofc.

Now that hu tao is out Id say the "no bullshit" dps tier list looks like this
Ganyu
(Huge fucking gap)
Xiao/Klee/Hu Tao
(Small gap)
childe/diluc
(Small gap)
Some mix of keqing/ning/xiangling/razor

Just assuming like c0 4* weapons average f2p player (aside from the 4* characters which youll get cons for eventually) Not ordered within tiers. Hu Tao is kind of a burst dps like childe but more fun with a much less bullshit cooldown. Can play her with vapes/melts or just VVD(4 piece anemo set that debuffs enemy res when you swirl)/Zhongli resistance debuffs + unga bunga fire stick
I heard dragon bane (4* gacha staff) is actually really good on her but im not a mathfag so idk

xiao really that strong? avoided to pull him to save my pity, and that mihoyo had to gear him out the ass for the trial didn't sound like it.

Yeah Id say him, Klee, and Hu Tao are all around the same level. Strong but kind of balanced. Xiao is strong but has energy recharge issues

edit:
hu tao......... isnt coming home
