He is gonna come back so it's basically "i always come back" type shit already with his ridiculous "researchingpilfered ancient tech to find a way to clone myself indefinitely so I can be in multiple places at once" and then his rant about humans being held back by being beings made of flesh.
"I left the Pizzeria, but I also stayed inside the Pizzeria." This basic Shopjob will have to do for now.
To be fair, Dottore did experiment on Collei and other kids... I probably shouldn't drag this joke out too long.

It's kind of funny how he does the same thing in sumeru he does in nod krai but they don't bring upt he clone thing because he supposedly had all of them killed even though he pointed out he could make new ones anyways when that happened.
he left nod krai, but he also stayed in nod krai and stole the fucking moons.
I tried Endfield and got Last Rite from the first beginner 10 pull just to see if it was worth the hype. The world feels ugly because its all the same palette, the combat feels clunky and slow, none of the bursts look pretty, and it feels like there's less freedom to build teams because instead of your supports boosting your DPS, your DPS needs the right supports to get their skills off consistently. It feels like the tower defense game has prettier and more unique skills too.
Speaking of go , Duet Night Abyss just released on steam the other day to fuck all fanfare. View attachment 8452968 View attachment 8452969
Those are some dire numbers. Didn't the game have like 15 million pre registers?
Also a lot of people are declaring they are dropping the game if the next livestream doesn't adress several issues.
Jesus. This feels like a reversal of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide launch day. The game is playable but the shop and purchasing is fucked.
What's funny is that Arknights is Hyperglyph's only and ONLY golden goose. Fucking up its' sequel's release is basically the same repeating pattern as GFL2, and everyone knows how that game is doing (doing the same as PAYDAY3, which is the equivalent of shit).

Maybe I'm underestimating Chinese autism around factories but I can't see Endfield really lasting. They made a sequel where the gameplay is a bunch of convoluted ways to pick mint instead of combat, artifact farming, or exploration.

So I gave Endfield a Gofield and took a bunch of notes.
Be warned, it's long.
I got a warning that my peasant laptop was too shit for the game. With that said, apparently a lot of people have had issues with this, including high-end software, so it's some kind of bug since it's mainly calibrated for mobile.
And when I ran the game, it was fine. It didn't even overheat my laptop.
I still need a new laptop, but that's neither here or there.
Either way eveything is set to the lowest setting but I think it looks decent, graphically.
Except for this fucking black hole of DARKNESS. Couldn't even put some debris there?
The text is stupid hard to read during cutscenes, my god. It doesn't help that it's white text on a white background. Ugh.
Music-wise: it's super generic and bland. It's also way too loud, so I had to toggle with sound settings to hear what the characters are even saying. I don't know if the payoff is worth it because they yap a fucking lot.
On one hand, it's pretty neat because they will also say something if there are valuables nearby that you missed. On the other hand, I don't need to hear them marvel at the ore that I'm mining.
The main character kinda makes me roll my eyes. Starter Pack Waifu straight up says we are the most important person to all Endfielders, which are the playable cast, I guess. We were the fucking Joan of Sci Fi Arc or whatever until we lost our memories. The motherfucking Endministrator. Sounds like a reddit username.
I am a little miffed over the whole amnesiac protagonist. Feels like a shitty copout. Fucking glazing too. It's a bit much.
Combat-wise, it's a weird beast. I can't quite describe it. It's like a more cumbersome Dragon Age with keyframes, except you can't position characters. I do not know if I like it or hate it.
Your teammates run and fight in the ENDfield with you, which is neat. When you do mining, they will mine with you and pick up shit for you. That's nice.
And you can use their skills and ults even though you're ot playing as them whenever. So long as you have enough skill points. The thing about the ults and the skills leads to a lot of confusion imo.
Casting the skills and the ultimates is really clunky. You gotta hold L1 (if you use a PlayStation controller) to access skills or ults. Then press triangle, square or circle, or X for skills or hold those same buttons for ults.
The buttons correspond to the characters like so, which can be really confusing in the heat of things.
Everyone shares skillpoints, btw.
Side note: I made this mistake quite often bu you need to hold L1 if you want to select a specific character because by just pressing the leftmost button on the d-pad, you select the leftmost character. But none of the other buttons select the other character. In fact, the right button launches you into build-a-base mode.
You can also do quick time events skills, which are helpful for elemental reactions since MC and Starter Pack Waifu (top icon) petrify enemies, for example. It can also be helpful for the tougher enemies with fuck-you moves that can be interrupted with skills - ESPECIALLY IF THEY GRAB YOU.
YOU CANNOT CLIMB. That's actually really annoying when exploring. You have to rely on ziplines and arbitrary walkways to get to places. It feels kinda...unintuitive but I suppose it's becuase I've been spoiled by WuWa and Genshin.
Also, I cannot discern if there's unlimited sprint stamina or not. Sometimes that shit runs out when you're sprinting, other times it doesn't.
Oh, and the ziplines. They look really stupid, but they are handy.
First chapter is super linear. No exploration for you, sucka. It does open up later, quite a lot. You can easily encounter enemies several levels higher than you, meant to be beaten later. There's a lot you have to return to later.
Once again, it very much reminds me of Dragon Age: Inquisition. If you don't know what I mean, the very first map after the prologue, the Hinterlands, is also the fucking biggest in the game. You can very easily give into your exploration autism and get fucked by level 25 enemies at level 10 or below.
I am a bit iffy on the base building shit. Mainly because I was expecting something akin to Genshin's teapot, and what I got instead was your whole-ass character having to move to put something down while moving.
And you can basically just put a random ass tower everywhere, but you can't do anything with it because it needs to be plugged in and then connected to other shit like a wifi router with extra steps.
I understand it was the best way to make things flow easily so you don't have to fuck around with a bunch of annoying menus, thus making everything more streamlined, but I'd rather have a brief loading screen than accidentally pressing the d-pad and going into build-a-base mode.
The story is......I don't really give a hoot about chapter 1, honestly. It's just vague bullshit that sets eveything up while we go and kick the asses of hooligans who are showing too much intellegence to be ignored. I like Chen, Wulfgard so far, and not Owlbert.
Fat Bert if you will.
Okay, so pulls. 500 whatevs for a single pull, 5000 of them for a ten pull. I don't know if I like it or hate it because chests give you somewhere between 15 and 60 or so of those whatevs. Plus, you get thingies for crafting achievements and whatnot, so I suppose you will reach it soon - at first.
The weapons banner uses the currency you get from character pulls. Huh, neat. You can also just straight up buy 5* weapons.
The rules for the limited character banner are absolutely retarded, though.
What is this?????
??????
Oh, and there's a base rate of 0.8%. Hm.
Also slight nitpick, but characters with animal ears also have human ears, so they have four ears, and that annoys me. I guess it's just an Arknights thing? The lipsync is on point. It's very impressive. Though NPCs look a little dead-faced. The game has inventory management. Hmm. The hooligan enemies are called Landbreakers (lmao), but they are also often called pipefaces or "pipefaced" [noun]. Sounds like a slur. Chat, is Endfield RACIST? Got this guy. Fucking Kung Fu Panda.
It's a Chinese name so it's first name last. Thus his name is literally just Panda when you read it in the Western order. I don't know if I should laugh or roll my eyes.
Right, okay, moving on!
Shit, it's the missing ZZZ character!
Hide your feet pics!
Actually, would she be more fitting in Snowbreak? As much as I deride MC glazing, this moment did kinda make me laugh.
Anyway, I might stick with it for a bit. I don't know what I expected when I booted the game. I'm glad I don't feel disappointed, though, but I suppose it's because I went in with no expectations.
Edit: Oh, and @Stumbling7 DNA lost another 200 players on Steam since my last post about it. I have a feeling we may see it dip to triple digits before the end of the month.
Not in the sense that it can be removed, but the factory management seems like the selling point. I didn't play ZZZ but I heard that end game content is very restrictive on teams and gear.
I might give it another shot but it seems similar in the sense that you max characters out instead of really farming gear upgrades so everything is going to be balanced around having enough synergistic 6 stars with their signature weapons.
I've thought about quitting like 5 times but did the pulls the game gives you. It doesn't want me to quit. I have 2 other 6 star weapons in 40 pulls. I even messed up and did 10 on the Scythe banner.
