I'm only two 5* away from having every Natlan character, only need Kinich and Citlali. Since Ifa is gonna be a 4*, there's a 99% chance (knock on wood) that I've got this in the bag. Rumor has it that Kinich banner is gonna run again in 5.6, so if I win 50/50 with him, that just leaves Granny. Kind of... underwhelmed with how many Natlan characters we've gotten. I still adore most of them, but possibly closing out on Ifa (at least for right now) is a bit anticlimactic.
It'd also be nice if the Scions of the Canopy and the People of the Springs had a 4* character of their own. Every other tribe has a 5* and 4* that can use their respective Nightsoul mechanic, so it feels weird for those two to only have 5* users.

Springs is hydro and hoyo is allergic to releasing hydro 4*s, especially one who could use cinder. Canopy hookshot means a 4* with janky combat and tbh if they'll be as bad as ifa then perhaps it's for the best. Hoyo would make their exploration abilities shit too.

The 5.6 units were datamined from trials. Number above means number of reruns. Escofier should be first, ifa with her

btw anyone who plays star rail, they're doing the yearly thing where people have a chance to obtain one free monthly blessing, but you have to go on social media comment you ID and retweet or whatever. The subreddit counts too.

Tbf, it just happens that Natlan starts with these "mini-factions"/tribes thingy. If anything since Sumeru and Fontaine, be expecting one 4* Liyue taking the slot and probably at least one new 5* not coming from current nation in between.
I don't really expect Nod-Krai having playable characters in every faction. Some might just be there for reputation quests or exploration natives/enemies thing.

Edit: Also, I'm not really into MHY designing 4* now. Their 4* unit strength isn't consistently good (strong and flexible) and often requiring few constellations or even C6 to be acceptable.

You're gonna hate to hear this but I not only won her 50/50 in seven 10 pulls but in the same 10 pull I won a dupe too so now I have her and her C1. The second time I've ever gotten 2 5 stars in a single 10 pull in any game so I'm not normally this lucky. But honestly I would've preferred to lose the second 50/50 on that 10 pull so that I'd have Zani guaranteed. But oh well I'll take the C1 Shorky. And considering I'm currently on a now three 50/50 winstreak I've already lubed up to get Calcharo'd for the 5th fucking time.

Really gay though that they're only giving people 11 days for Shorekeeper just because of the Anniversary but I get why. But imagine being a new player starting right now and wanting Shorekeeper, then seeing you only have 10 days to scrape up enough to at least 50/50 her.
 
Got the Shork on the first 10pull, currently many pulls in failing to get a Sanhua S5, at least I'm building guarantee for Zani.

Funnily enough, I s6'd Sanhua when I pulled and s5'd Baizhi off a random single pull. I think Kuro is punishing me for not getting Carlotta and having a usable Glacio

It's not like Shorekeeper is required to complete majority of contents. New players, imo shouldn't even care about min-maxing endgame. As seen above, I skipped Shorekeeper when I started, not shown in image was having Verina R1 before Yinlin. I didn't even think I'd having fun with the game enough to stay.
If concerning for new players experience, then the free standard 5* pick won't be a thing anymore around May 22 this year. More or less, if there is any replacement for that free standard 5* in anniversary or not.

Having decent dps character(s) and generally feels-good for daily farming help overall game enjoyment more than must-full stars endgame. Verina and Baizhi are serviceable. I actually prefer how Lumi play than Xiangli Yao, despite Yao is a whole much better option, especially against bosses. Mostly, I don't like how Yao zip-zaps around with his skill set. Lumi is more grounded and having ranged option.

Calcharo has definitely terrorized some people rolling Shorekeeper rerun.

Alas it might be because I quite literally don't give a shit about her character.

Annoyingly MHY hasn't fixed their lip sync issues either.

Zani's story quest seems to feature a new area, Black Alley. Zani is also Batman a night time janny.
Ciacconna's story quest will be presented as an event style instead.
From main event teaser, any character having cube form does make an appearance in person. Even Sephiroth.
Illusive realm should be permanent now.
New glider wing skin.
New item to modify main stat of any un-level echo. Can be obtained from monthly pass, meaning monthly pass gets upgraded.
Bosses will respawn instantly after claiming reward in overword now.
Birthday can be set for in game profile now. Meaning player can pick a Resonator to give a special happy birthday on that day. Mini-crown cosmetic on birthday.
New glossary feature in story, any special word/term can be clicked on for quick explanation in dialogues.
Some return limited time event rewards.
